The best view in town on the bluff! Durrell was the perfect host with great advice on what to do, where to eat plus his cooking was fabulous! Loved hearing his stories about some of his life experiences. The house was lovely decorated and we slept hard in very comfortable beds. We can't wait to go back! Two thumbs up!

Our party had the downstairs suite and one of the upstairs rooms, both of which were fabulous. The house sits on the bluff overlooking the river with grand views of the bridge and upriver from the garden and porches. The location is perfect. The house itself is furnished wonderfully with fine antiques. Durell, the owner and host, is most gracious... More

It is the ideal combination...the divine view of the Mississippi savored from the verandah and courtyard, the grand home filled with generations of care, the best and most bountiful breakfast of our journey plus Durrell's extraordinary care and feeding of his guests. A highlight of our 3,000 mile road trip.

The charm of the place is not just its location on the river and its setting in an historic villa but also the friendliness and kindness of the host, Durrell, who will make you feel like home from the moment you come it to the moment you leave.

This was my wife and mine second time to spend a weekend at Riverside and the experience was even better than the first time, which was superb! Seeing Durrell was like coming home to visit a friend or family member, which is how he treats you. Great stories, coffee and wine on the balcony, very filling breakfast and a great... More

Our family of four enjoyed both upstairs rooms in this beautiful home full of antiques. Our host was very welcoming and accommodating. It was great to spread out into our own large private living room, and even play the Steinway piano. Breakfast was fine. All in all, it was a memorable Southern experience for us Yankees!

My husband and I just spent a wonderful night at this B&B. Durell, the host, makes you feel so welcome, like you are an old friend. We stayed in the upstairs room with the view of the bridge. Evening wine out on the upper porch overlooking the river is priceless. Morning coffee and breakfast were great. Would loved to have... More

As you will read in the other reviews, Durrell is a fabulous host. From your interaction on the phone with him for reservations (no Internet), to his wonderful homemade breakfast, Durrell will strive to please you and charm you with his stories of Natchez and New Orleans. Durrell had suggestions on places to visit and restaurants which turned out to... More

Durell, the owner was a hoot. You wont find him and his personal touch at any other B&B. Pays attention to the details in running a great B&B. Not all the fancy big B&B places but loaded with antiques, china, silver, old books...I could live here. And the view..like no other. We were upstairs and the morning coffee looking over... More
