Our tour group went here for dinner tonight . We were welcomed by Valerie and her mother Marjorie. So hospitable opening their historic home to us. Seven generations of the family have lived here. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at Glenfield, 5/26/15, My wife Esther and I talked about our wonderful experience at Glenfield all the way home to DFW area today. Mother and daughter hosts could not have treated and entertained us better. Marjorie is an inspiration to mankind, Our hostesses and Glenfield will be cherished for the rest of our lives.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Glenfield Plantation! I love it when I get to hear the history of a house, town and region. Our hosts Marjorie and Valerie recounted the history of the house, the only civil war skirmish in Natchez (which happened on the property) and of other homes in and around Natchez. The accommodations were clean... More

I just returned after spending four nights here with my little dog... I had the lovely front queen room with own bath in the most historic portion of this home. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe and enjoyed having company to visit with after returning from a long day photographing within the area. Privacy is respected by the... More

Do not expect five star luxury but do expect 7 star hospitality from the most welcoming, gracious and amusing owner and her delightful English Labrador - Jake. This is an old, c.1840s, plantation house which has been in the family since the 1870s. Marjorie and her daughter Valerie welcome you as if you were a member of their family and... More

This is not a hotel. This is someone's home and its a home that has been well lived in. The furniture and contents have been in the family for many years. Mrs Meng was an excellent hostess and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We only stayed one night but if we had stayed longer... More

This is not a 5 star hotel this is someone's home and you get that feeling when you walk through the door. The hospitality on offer is second to none and if you ask for something it appeared swiftly. The house is full of character and loads of interesting things to see inside. The breakfast was really nice and the... More

I had always wanted to visit Natchez and our 25th wedding anniversary seemed the time. We did a "gulf coast" tour and ended up here with friends who had never been south of Arkansas. The setting is beautiful, the history is alive and well especially when host Marjorie puts it the framework of her family. I would recommend Glenfield Plantation... More

What a beautiful place! We just knocked on the door, hoping we were lucky enough that we could stay just for one night for we were passing through from Memphis to New Orleans. And we were lucky! Such a lovely place, it breathes history. Take a visit to the Mississippi riverfront (call Karla to give you a ride!) and enjoy... More
