During a recent stay in the main house I was stung by one of the wasps that shared my room with me. When I reported this to the front deask I was told that it would be handled by the General Manager who would call me later that morning on my cell phone. The day after I departed, never having... My wife and I stayed here this last July and for the cost that was the same as a room in one of the flavorless motels that litter the roadsides, we were able to stay in the Robert E Lee room on the second floor of this grand building set on many acres. Included in this price was a free... More

My husband and I stayed one night at a room on the river. We had read the reviews about the noise from the tavern below the room but we are young and stay up late so we felt it wouldn't be that big of deal. Plus, we really wanted to stay on the river. The plantation and room itself were... More

We had the misfortune to stay in the slave quarters (well, they called it the servants quarters, but it was awful). We had a cave-like room at the end of a totally dark brick corridor except for one bare lightbulb. It was like going into a dark hole. The room had windows, but I'm not sure why. They only looked... Beautiful room. Beautiful view but you are right above a pub. We stayed on a wednesday night which is karaoke night. It statred at 7.30 and didn't end till past 1am. Breakfast is included in the price which youhave to drive up to the main house about 2 miles away! Booked a night at a Plantation and ended up above... More

We had a delicious lunch in the Castle restaurant on the grounds of this historic hotel and decided to see about a room for the night. We stayed in The Dependence part of the Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our room and the whole evening. We would heartily recommend this hotel. More

Our trip to PA and NYC was cancelled because of the snowstorm, so we made last minute arrangements to visit the Natchez Trace Trail area and New Orleans. We called several historic inns and B&Bs and found Dunleith Plantation met our interests best and had 3 person accommodations as our teenage son was traveling with us. The grounds and facilities... I would have to concur with the flavour of recent reviews, having booked Dunleith after missing out on others. The rooms in the main building are substantial, but carting cases up several flights of stairs without assistance was not pleasurable. The taps in my bathroom were leaking badly and the bathroom itself bordering on inadequate (and I am a tolerant... More

The house and grounds are very nice without doubt. We got stuck in a cobweb infested servents quarters. The worn out rugs were soiled and you pretty much need to be an Olympic athlete to get to the majority of the rooms. The restaurant is over priced. The bar was pretty good but the service below average. Our promised tour... More

Dunleith was recommended to us by friends from Mississippi who always stay there when in Natchez. Having to use an out side stairway over 70 stairs to our room was really difficult. We felt like second class citizens as there were wedding plans going on with the wedding the next day. So we had to check out for that night... More
