This hotel is located on the side of the piste and experienced skiers can ski in and ski out but beginners might find it a bit more tricky. The ski / boot room is much better than some I have seen but its downfall is the lack of any heat to dry equipment out overnight. Although we didn't know ahead... More

This is a perfectly located hotel for skiers. You can literally put your skis on in the front of a hotel and reuturn from slopes with skis. There is also a nice after-ski terrace. In the hotel there is also a smal ski-shop where you can rent skis or a snowboard or fix your own ones. Ski tickets are available... More

We stayed here from the 9 to 12 of February . Monachil is a quaint little village about 10/15 minutes from Granada and 20 minutes from the ski station pradollano ,sierra Nevada . The hotel room was clean and the heating system worked well,to be honest these were my main concerns for this short trip. We found a lovely coffee... More

Where shall I start......wifi what a joke! Doesn't work at all. The tv and radio in room doesn't work. The food is only just edible, decor is dated and dirty, reminded me more of a youth club with all the older kids taking over the place, very loud with music banging. If you are English and don't speak any Spanish... More

We booked this hotel through Booking.com (never again will I use Booking.com staff on telephone rude and took more money than on screen when booking) but did not give a toss!!!!!! in other words get lost. But the hotel to be fair was well worth the little amount we did pay, been skiing for years and it's not cheap for... More

What's it good for? 1) English is spoken well by more than a few of the staff. 2) Direct access to the ski slopes from across the car park 4) Children friendly 5) Eat as much as you like 6) Relatively cheap 7) Clean bathrooms 8) Good heating 9) Good clean saunas and jacuzzis 10) On-site ski-hire shop with good... Dreadful. The irony of their inviting reviews to be posted on TripAdvisor. Before I get into it, a couple of notes: 1. I posted a similar review on booking dot com. 2. I have to give the hotel credit for eventually (and after much argy-bargy) upgrading us to a suite. It was a tired, dilapidated suite, but at least it... More

Excellent location for an experienced skier as you can ski in/out. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The bad side, the hotel needs major revamp, room decoration very tired, bathroom fan could wake the dead, no hot water, no hairdryer and towels in room forgotten. Wifi is only accessible from ground and first floor. There is ski locker facilities but it... More

Just back from my first ski trip (at the age of 46!) with my 2 boys and group of experienced skiers. Can't really fault the hotel, few minor comments. Water at dinner has to be bought by the bottle think maybe they could provide tap water especially as the water is fresh from the mountain spring and drinkable. Breakfast starts... More

Not the prettiest or best looked after hotel, but the location more than makes up for what this antiquated hotel lacks in other departments. The best way to describe the Monachil is perhaps functional or adequate (you get what you pay for). Being able to put your skis on and head off down the piste without first having to take... More
