Stayed here for the 2nd time. Really good hotel in a great location as close to restaurants/bars and main ski lifts! Excellent buffet breakfast. Reception staff do speak english and are helpful and friendly. I upgraded to a premium room this time and well worth the extra money. Beds comfortable, choice of pillows, bathrobes & slippers, DVD player and kettle with... More

Spent 5 nights in March. Very nice hotel room. One of best hotel buffet's I've had - felt like I was on an upscale cruise ship. Had cooks to grill meats (usually 4 choices of raw meats) at dinner - in addition to other dishes made back in kitchen - beware the Spanish apparently like meat cooked on rarer side... More

To start with, there seemed to be some problems with our reservation which were ironed out quite quickly by the friendly staff. The hotel has some fantastic amenities and we are going to head back to use the spa as we did not get the time to use this. The only complaint is the uncomfortable beds which meant none of... More

As other reviewers point out, the location is very good. The public areas of the hotel are wonderful, the buffet meals are expensive but very good as is the spa. We got a special deal for mid week in a standard room which made the accommodation good value. However, the standard rooms are very dated. Decor in itself is not... More

The first great point is that the hotel is very easy to arrive to: no need to go all the way around the resort to get to the entrance, like for the rest of hotels, which is a true advantage. The hotel as a whole is clean, modern and its situation just a minute away from the central plaza is... More

This is the 2nd time I've stayed in this hotel in 2 years. Both times have been for a lads ski holiday. The rooms are clean and well appointed but dated. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in them. There no English channels to speak of but the web site says there are. The spa is fantastic... More

This was a return trip for us after a fantastic family ski trip last year. We booked two family rooms together and a Double room separately, or so I thought! Turns out there are two Melia hotels in the resort, the other one just over the road which is older. The receptionist in Sol y Nieve was fantastic in getting... More

We had booked two double rooms at the Melia Sol y Nieve, we found a great deal. We had two standard rooms at the fourth floor with great views over the mountains and the village. The rooms were good. The staff in the hotel is very friendly, the service is like a 5 star hotel. The location of the hotel... More

Situated just yards from a lift & next to the main square where the majority of restaurants & bars are situated. Rooms in The Level are expensive but extremely comfortable & we enjoy the nibbles & drinks in the lounge. Adequate skiing for 3/4 days - might get a bit repetitive after that.
