My husband & I made a quick trip to San Francisco to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't seem to find the perfect hotel in the city but stumbled over this one. It was perfect! The drive from the city was beautiful, our favorite part of the trip, and only a half hour. The price was much more affordable, the room... More

The rooms were fantastic. Large beds, large rooms, large (and spotless) bathrooms A stove for when its cold, and a big picture window, with French doors and a small balcony- all very comfortable. The position is ideal. But, but but.... The public rooms were dreadful. Carpets that I didn't want to put my feet on, and dark furniture. There was a... More

Dear 4519Mary, I really appreciate the overall, good review. Thanks so much for your positive comments, regarding our rooms and breakfast. That said, I’m sorry to see it overshadowed by your dislike of our public area. I’d really like to get more feedback from you, about this, as your clearly felt very strongly about the negative points that you mentioned.... More

A gem of a property, great location, friendly staff, a nice happy hour spread and a great breakfast. Check out the town or go hiking right out the door. Our room was well sized, nicely decorated, and the products in the bathroom wonderful. Don't have a single bad thing to say....if you are staying in the area this is a... More

The Mill Valley Inn, located off the main square of the lovely town after which it is named, provides cleanliness and charming comfort. The staff is cordial, welcoming, helpful when asked. The continental breakfasts go way beyond the strict basic offerings of a traditional continental breakfast in a lovely setting. This applies also to the Inn's afternoon wine and cheese... More

The Mill Valley Inn is a lovely little gem in the middle of Mill Valley. The rooms are clean & lovely. There is no resort feeling here, it is much more like a high-end B&B. The breakfast was good but not great. All in all a very nice stay!

We recently stayed at Mill Valley Inn for 3 nights with our two kids. It was a quiet retreat when we wanted it to be, but centrally located in the heart of Mill Valley close to great reataurants, shops and a beautiful park. The beds were very comfortable and the room a good size. The breakfast and wine and cheese... More

We stayed here two nights. Had a comfortable room overlooking trees, with Mill Valley right outside our door. Service very friendly, and nice breakfast and wine/cheese in evening. Not over the top elaborate, but very nice and reasonable for the price. Would return.

We stayed in a cottage for one night so no problem with thin walls! I was surprised that the cottage rate was only slightly more than a room. The cottage was roomy and featured a real wood burning fireplace. Unfortunately the night we were there the city had a "no wood fires" rule in effect. But they gave us a... More

My room was small but adequate. I stayed for three nights. Very nice continental breakfast, with fresh fruit, good tea (I am a tea snob and was very pleased to see they use a dedicated electric kettle for hot water), bagels and salmon. I stayed in room 5 near the breakfast room. It was a bit chilly in January, as... More

My wife and I stayed here right after Christmas. The Inn is lovely with great service in a wonderful location. This charming little town is very walkable with many excellent restaurants just a short walk away. Rooms are spacious and well decorated in an understated manor. WiFi was strong and free. Our room was in the front but on a... More
