On arrival at the hotel, I found it was in a great town called mill valley, lots of yummy mummy's and wealthy retirees'. Great restaraunts, coffee shops, gift shops, deli store and an excellent thearte. The hotel was small but friendly the welcome was warm and genuine. Bottled water was offered on arrival. We go to the Mill Valley Inn once a month, every month, for one or two nights. It is the best spot in Northern California to get away, relax and recharge. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfy and most even have a fireplace and deck! Well worth the price. Give it a try once and you'll be... more

We had a one night stay at the Mill Valley Inn on our way to Wine Country. It was an enjoyable visit---my wife and I both really like Marin County. Mill Valley is a charming small town with a great town square. Its not a tourist town, but a place where locals live, shop, eat, hang out with their kids.... more

Very helpful service and comfortable rooms, but the price was a bit steep for what you get in our view. Highly recommend taking the ferry from Larkspur or Sausalito into San Francisco, a quarter of a harbour trip price and the views are... more

We stayed here for a few nights for a local wedding and loved the hotel. While on the expensive side, the service was outstanding and the rooms were beautiful, with a balcony overlooking redwoods and a fireplace in the room. Free parking on site and complimentary afternoon wine were just a few highlights. The breakfast in the morning was scrumptious;... more

We stayed here for the first couple nights of our honeymoon. Our room was in the back house and overlooked the small creek and and a redwood grove. The ceilings were high, making the room seem even larger. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was great with a shower and a separate tub. The staff was very friendly. The... more

Really charming small hotel located within walking distance to all of the small town of Mill Valley. Almost a "Disneyland" town. We were upgraded at no additional charge to one of the romantic cottages in the redwoods. Go to the Muir Redwoods while you are there. more

the hotel was excellent but the manager who checked us in was totally awesome. first, paul upgraded our expedia booking then he personally went on mapquest to get us directions to our next destination in yosemite. however, what put him over the top was responding to our request for a mini-frig by personally lugging the frig to our second floor... more
