The Wynnstay Arms Hotel is a good 3 hours drive from home, so we were limited with the amount of face-to-face contact we could have to plan our perfect wedding reception. But we had no worries, we knew we were in safe hands with the staff at the Wynnstay Arms. We provisionally booked out all of the rooms for our... More

Discovering that the, perhaps more highly rated, Plough, Llanrhaedr was not open for lunch during the week, we visited The Wynnstay Arms and ended up more than happy with our decision. Both the welcome and the generally relaxed ambience are in The Wynnstay's definite favour. This laid back approach may be taken just a little too far though with a... More

Being a local I visit the Wynny often. My wife and I went Sunday and enjoyed a lovely beef baguette with all the trimmings which we ate in the sunshine in the lovely beer garden, washed down with cold lager and wine. Wen and the kitchen staff always turn out top quality food at good prices, and Connor runs the... More

We have just returned home following a family wedding reception at the Wynnstay. I just had to write to say what a wonderful welcome we received from all the team working there. They put themselves out considerably to ensure that the meal & reception was exactly how the newlyweds wanted it. Thank you all!!

We returned to the Wynnstay after a year and found it just as good, if not better than last time. Arriving to a great welcome, the staff actually remembered us from last time. The food was fantastic, with very generous portion sizes, and we enjoyed sampling the drinks selection while playing pool in the games room. The rooms themselves are... More

A very warm and friendly place to stay, serving good food. Some of rooms need a little decoration but it is worth seeing through that for the warm and reiendly welcome. They served a great breakfast and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I would certainly recomend the Wynnstay and would be happy to stay there again.

Thank you so much for your kind review, if I could just explain about your room being in need of a bit of a makeover, We had some horrific storm damage in February of this year, and we are still waiting for the go ahead from the insurance company to have certain rooms refurbished, most of the rooms have slight... This is a gem of a pub/B&B and i can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are so friendly, as are the locals and the food is simply excellent and such great value. The garden is beautiful in the spring and, in the darker, colder months, a welcoming log fire is just what you need. I love this pub and... More

My girlfriend and I booked in for three nights and although I had eaten here previously I had never stayed even though I have been visiting this area all my life. I had spoken to the owner, David, on the telephone previously and I was pleased to see he was there to welcome us on arrival along with a very... More

This is my 3rd stay in this hotel in order for me to visit family in the village. Firstly the rooms are basic but they work and a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Free wifi is available. We stayed for a 3 day break on half board basis that worked out cheaper than most B&B rates. The food at breakfast... More

Stopped in the village with a group of friends on a day out. There was no problem in organising food for a large group. No fuss just good service and a friendly couple. The hotel is obviously well used by the locals and visitors alike and I can understand why.
