This is a gem of a pub/B&B and i can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are so friendly, as are the locals and the food is simply excellent and such great value. The garden is beautiful in the spring and, in the darker, colder months, a welcoming log fire is just what you need. I love this pub and... More

My girlfriend and I booked in for three nights and although I had eaten here previously I had never stayed even though I have been visiting this area all my life. I had spoken to the owner, David, on the telephone previously and I was pleased to see he was there to welcome us on arrival along with a very... More

This is my 3rd stay in this hotel in order for me to visit family in the village. Firstly the rooms are basic but they work and a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Free wifi is available. We stayed for a 3 day break on half board basis that worked out cheaper than most B&B rates. The food at breakfast... More

Stopped in the village with a group of friends on a day out. There was no problem in organising food for a large group. No fuss just good service and a friendly couple. The hotel is obviously well used by the locals and visitors alike and I can understand why.

Used this hotel as the accomodation for our wedding party and it was fantastic. The staff were great and couldn't do enough to help from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was great and the chef is unbelievably accomodating, cooking several dishes which werent on the menu for one or two of our guests. An excellent hotel... More

From the moment the wedding party arrived, Andy and the Hotel staff couldn't do enough for us. They had a room set by for us for the reception which they helped trim and decorate, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The bedrooms were well presented, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food both in the restaurant and... More

My mother has just moved into this beautiful village. We had the most amazing Sunday lunch today. Fantastic value and very generous portions. Andy and staff were so welcoming. As well as my mother and myself, my 3 children loved the whole experience, playing in the garden, lovely dinning area and wonderful atmosphere. We will be eating lots more here... More

We ate in the restaurant on Friday lunchtime. We only wanted a snack and ordered the baguettes BLT and tuna mayonnaise. This was fantastic and more than enough as it came with chips and salad. Fantastic food and great value for money. Friendly bar staff too.

This I found to be a very friendly well run hotel. Traditional service from excellent staff who were helpful with all aspects of my stay. Lovely comfortable beds in a very quiet setting. Food and food service excellent, small but friendly bar which seemed to be popular with the locals.Overall I would definitely recomend.

We weren't staying at the hotel but have had a beautiful meal there. We were staying some 5 miles away so spent the afternoon in the bar. Manager Andy & the "locals" couldn't have friendlier or more helpful. We were even given some beautiful "roasties" & beef because they decided we needed "feeding up" after our 5 mile hike down...
