Met with family & friends for an evening meal in this friendly inn on the night before a wedding at the nearby waterfall. Great tasty food, generous portions & amazingly good prices. Although we were a very large group, having increased in number at the last minute, this was accommodated with no problem & the service was friendly & helpful.

Attended family wedding at nearby waterfall, reception held at this lovely pub - great food, but really excellent service which made the day feel special. The manager took some of our wedding photos from our memory card and displayed them on the TV system during the evening - what a lovely touch!

Stayed here on a walking holiday mid week, great location, close to the Berwyns, accommodation is good value, great evening menu and a filling breakfast - couldn't ask for more. Village itself is lovely!

Booked a family room here for a weekend cycling break, it offered comfy accommodation for myself and teenage sons. Great base for cycling (which was our intention), the pub provided a cosy fire and good food in the evening. The manager stored our bikes in the barn for us and even washed and dried our soaked biking clothing for us... More

We stayed here to attend a family meal for our twenty fifth wedding anniversary, accommodation was nicely done (above the pub), good choice at breakfast and very modestly priced. Our family was very impressed by our group meal, lovely service (Gemma) and a specially produced set menu just for us (£14.95 three corse). We were given complimentary liqueur coffees at... More

Great little pub with rooms, very affordable, rooms not huge but do the job, this is a lively busy pub, good restaurant, original bar fittings etc. don't stay here for rural solitude, stay here for the great atmosphere and charming local characters, I even learnt some Welsh.

The Plough is a lovely pub in the heart of a pretty Welsh village ,The hosts Jane and Tom were very welcoming and friendly and its worth a visit for Jane's homemade sticky toffee pudding alone ,the food is all home cooked and excellent and the full English breakfast sets you up for the day

If you like gambling machines, pool tables, burly looking shaven-headed locals and very average, not cheap pub food in a cold and extremely quiet local boozer in the middle of nowhere.....this place is for you!! The village itself is very limited generally but this is not a good country pub...it's a pretty grotty, unwelcoming, local spit and sawdust type hangout... More

Discovered this place two summers ago when visiting friends, this was our third stay, the best bit is that it's a lovely old pub, rooms are just right, not huge but everything you need. This place is very well used by the locals - always a good sign. We hope to keep visiting.
