I was there with friends kayaking on the local rivers. As a central location for us it was ideally situated. The River Wye abuts the bottom of the garden. It is surrounded by super countryside so perfect for whatever attracts you to Wales in that respect. Brecon town is not far either. The inn has a large car park at the back... More

Nice environment. It is a friendly hotel but can be a bit noisy when there is activities going on in the pub. The double room was a bit too small for two people. There are a lot of outdoor activities in the area you can do, such as canoeing and walking. There are lots of places nearby that you can... More

What a great place. The staff were friendly and helpful, we joined a charity quiz on the Thursday night along with the locals who were also very friendly. A lovely clean place, with beautiful views of the river, good food off a varied menu and good beer. Will definitely be returning!

We stayed three nights in a lovely double room with ensuite, it was very clean and comfortable. Grahame and Jayne couldn't have been better hosts - nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly, as were all the staff. The food was excellent and the bar was really nice too. We hired mopeds from Wye Valley Canoes just... More

Stayed in a group of 8 after a day canoeing. Wye Valley Canoes is just 100 metres away. Rooms and bathrooms were bright, airy and spotlessly clean. Full English was really good, with good coffee - fresh fruit, juices and cereals all great quality too. Check-in was easy and friendly, as was service at breakfast. Rooms 2, 3 and 5... More

I spent three nights of dinner, bed and breakfast at the Harp Inn last weekend. I had the attic bedroom - like a penthouse apartment: beautifully refurbished, quiet, masses of space and super views east and west. Wifi worked like a dream. Downstairs everything was well done and everyone was eager to please. The menu is straightforward, the cooking is... More

My fiancėe and I stayed at the pub for a couple of nights using the pub as a base for running errands (we are getting married in the local area later this year) and going for walks in the nearby Black Mountains. The room was clean and well equipped. The menu in the restaurant is simple food done very well... More

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. We had the warmest possible welcome from the lovely landlord. The rooms were very clean and decorated to a high standard, with fantastic views. We didn't eat here in the evening but the breakfast was generous and tasted great. All of the staff were very friendly and... More

After a long busy day, this pub was just the ticket. Friendly atmosphere, great food, stunning view and all at a really reasonable price! What more could you ask for? My other half definitely recommends the homemade fruit crumble!
