We stayed three nights in a lovely double room with ensuite, it was very clean and comfortable. Grahame and Jayne couldn't have been better hosts - nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly, as were all the staff. The food was excellent and the bar was really nice too. We hired mopeds from Wye Valley Canoes just... More

Many thanks for your kind words - glad you had such a good time staying in Glasbury. Lets hope the weather is a little kinder if you visit the area again. Regards Jayne and Grahame More

Stayed in a group of 8 after a day canoeing. Wye Valley Canoes is just 100 metres away. Rooms and bathrooms were bright, airy and spotlessly clean. Full English was really good, with good coffee - fresh fruit, juices and cereals all great quality too. Check-in was easy and friendly, as was service at breakfast. Rooms 2, 3 and 5... More

I spent three nights of dinner, bed and breakfast at the Harp Inn last weekend. I had the attic bedroom - like a penthouse apartment: beautifully refurbished, quiet, masses of space and super views east and west. Wifi worked like a dream. Downstairs everything was well done and everyone was eager to please. The menu is straightforward, the cooking is... More

spent a splendid Friday evening with our Morris side - good food, good value and very friendly staff - a warm welcome and great sticky toffee pud and felafel in bun! We were welcome to play and sing in the back room - thanks Nigel

My fiancėe and I stayed at the pub for a couple of nights using the pub as a base for running errands (we are getting married in the local area later this year) and going for walks in the nearby Black Mountains. The room was clean and well equipped. The menu in the restaurant is simple food done very well... More

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. We had the warmest possible welcome from the lovely landlord. The rooms were very clean and decorated to a high standard, with fantastic views. We didn't eat here in the evening but the breakfast was generous and tasted great. All of the staff were very friendly and... More

After a long busy day, this pub was just the ticket. Friendly atmosphere, great food, stunning view and all at a really reasonable price! What more could you ask for? My other half definitely recommends the homemade fruit crumble!

What a nice pub! What a friendly landlord! What good pub grub! We stopped in Hay and called in the Blue Boar for lunch. Chilly in there, and all a bit impersonal. Long wait at bar to order food (bangers and mash and veg £14, yes I know but not prepared to pay £19 for steak and chips) but when... More

My husband and I stopped in here for a drink and a snack after some hill walking. The owner was very friendly and the pints fantastic. The menu for the restaurant looks incredible with lots of locally sourced produce. We would definitely go back here and stay.

I used to live in Glasbury -on-Wye and I was a regular in the Harp Inn. While visiting family in Hay-On-Wye we decided to call for lunch for old time sake. The car park no longer has pot holes and there is adequate parking. The views are as Fabulous as ever. We had a warm welcome from the landlord and... More
