My husband and I stopped in here for a drink and a snack after some hill walking. The owner was very friendly and the pints fantastic. The menu for the restaurant looks incredible with lots of locally sourced produce. We would definitely go back here and stay.

I used to live in Glasbury -on-Wye and I was a regular in the Harp Inn. While visiting family in Hay-On-Wye we decided to call for lunch for old time sake. The car park no longer has pot holes and there is adequate parking. The views are as Fabulous as ever. We had a warm welcome from the landlord and... More

We called into the Harp Inn without a booking on a busy Saturday night and expected to be turned away but the owner went out of his way to ensure we were able to eat there. We had a meal relatively quickly and the waitress was very attentive even though she was rushed off her feet. This seemed a popular pub... More

we inpected the room throughly and found no dust, no hair in plug holes, good quality bed linen and towels, coffee/ tea sugar and milk with kettle supplied in room. We had great food with very friendly, unjudgemental staff. Will be staying again this year.

We were staying locally to the Harp Inn and having been told the pizza's were great we decided to give it a visit. I only called to book a table late afternoon on Saturday but we were squeezed in. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and despite it being busy we were served quickly at the bar... More

Harp Inn tripadvisor reminder I wrote a short review in June for this pub after having a beer there during the Festival. A couple of days later we had an excellent dinner there but fell foul of the Tripadvisor three month rule because of our earlier review. So this review has been on hold. Here goes... Back to Harp Inn... More

Popped in for a couple of pints on a monday night. Great beer and the barman was very chatty and clearly new his beers. I this his name was paul or maybe peter. Although he finished his shift at eight he still had time to talk and advise on local places to visit. Locals were very friendly and chatty. Althought... More

Four of us stayed at the Harp in this August when we were walking the Wye Valley Walk. I will admit that we were a bit of a fussy bunch, but Grahame and Jane dealt with all our requests beautifully. They were very friendly and pleasing company. The rooms were excellent, spacious, very comfortable, very clean, very private. Mine was... More

You always get a very warm welcome from the staff. The food is very good and the whole place is shinning not a speck of dust in sight. Lovely view of the river from the patio and car park. This is a lovely locals pub with a fabulous vibe and a must to visit . Not to far from Hay... More

My friends and I stayed at the Harp Inn after a weekend canoeing trip along the river Wye. Upon arrival the landlord was waiting for us as the pub wasn't open at that time (early Sunday evening). The landlord (Graham) was extremely pleasant, very helpful and attentive. It is a small family run business and offers the most affordable accommodation... More
