We returned to Portmeirion once again for a winter weekend break. Staying in the village room Neptune 1. Which has been recently refurbished to give the room laminated flooring and some new leather armchairs. The room still retains some antique furniture and the specially designed bed covers and curtains. Neptune was a different experience for us, being right in the... More

Along with some close friends we went for dinner here and we're blown away in every way. The building is stunning with fabulous features and brilliant atmosphere, with a live harpist. The service was polite, faultless, and nothing was a problem. One of our party is a dairy free person and the Response of the staff was, "just choose what... More

Being at Portmeirion made you feel like you were part of the fantasy. The rooms at the Castle were spacious with everything you need. The food was excellent and quite inexpensive. The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. To top it off, it is a very beautiful location.

The 'village' itself is fantastic. We stayed for two nights. Our first night was in the Dome room which was lovely, with comfy beds etc. However, we had to change rooms for the second day of our stay as they hadn't a room available to the 2 nights we wanted. We were in the Salutation 1 room, what a disappointment... More

Lots of people tell you that this place is special but it's only once you step in to its magical world that you truly appreciate it. Whilst it is quite expensive it is worth every penny. Our suite (Fountain 2) was splendid with a separate living room and beautiful views over the village and the bay. The wonderful contrast between... More

Stayed for 2 nights last weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful room (House 8) immaculate and very nicely decorated with wonderful views over the estuary. Bathroom nice and clean but tired! Needs new fittings and re-grouting! Ate at the Castle Deudraeth on the first night - excellent food and lovely setting. Saturday night, ate in the restaurant at... Portmerion is a fun, ludicrous, eccentric, bonkers place. But very charming, very beautiful and very romantic. We stayed in the Castle - about 1/2mile outside the village itself, but run by the sae people. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it: a beautiful setting, good food and tons of atmosphere. The huge fireplace was speactacular, the bed was very... More

I couldn't think of a more beautiful place for one of my family members to get married. Such a lovely weekend with my whole family, everything was perfect! All of the rooms that I saw were stunning, the breakfast and dinners were gorgeous and everything about the place is great!! Highly recommend an overnight visit!

We had a two night stay in the hotel last week, (May 2015) Our room overlooked the estuary which was a fantastic view to wake up to. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and couldn't fault the food or the service. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The complementary sherry in our room was a really... More
