You don't know what you are missing if you don't battle your way through half a mile of rhodedendrons and azaeleas towards a blue blaze of sea and special sand of gold ribbon at the point of on return. If your have lost your way or have any doubt about anything go there and be filled by awe at the... More

Stayed for 3 nights in the hotel and can't recommend it enough if you want a weekend away from it all. Lovely rooms overlooking the estuary (we stayed in a superior room, House 7). Not overlooked so no need for a blind in the bathroom just a great view. Great room extras - complimentary sherry, plenty of tea & coffee,... More

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at portmeirion. We stayed in Salutation2, which is a room overlooking the main village, above the shop, with a view of the estuary beyond the central square. The location of the room is very central, and the room itself has a double bed, a small fridge, tv,... More

This was our second stay at Portmeirion, we had to come back for more! We stayed in the village in one of the suites for 3 nights on both occasions, lots of space, great facilities, very clean and you really get the "Portmeirion Village" experience. Complimentary sherry in the room every day is always welcome on a cold day. The... More

We have just spend 3 days at Hotel Portmeirion which was fabulous. It was our first visit to this very quirky village but would definitely go back. It was really quite surreal. The hotel and whole village was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very attentive both in the main hotel, Castell Deudraeth and the shops and cafes... More

This is our first stay at this hotel and we will definitely be returning. Only one word to describe our experience which is "Excellent". The rooms in the castle hotel are very good quality, ours had a king bed with a lounge area that provided vary spacious accommodation. Note there are two separate hotel areas, the castle at the top... More

Having recently spent two nights of sheer bliss and total relaxation at the hotel (main hotel house 1) and then casually trawled the reviews on this site - I cannot imagine that some of the reviewers stayed at the same hotel! We found the staff's efficiency, friendliness and professionalism second to none and without compare - except perhaps for Robyn's... More

A Lovely hotel, and an amazing place, so different, we also enjoyed the food in the restaurant... I would recommend anyone to go... The bedroom linen was very good quality, and the tea and coffee selection in the room was good too...The view from our room looked over the estuary, it was overcast when we went to visit, but that... Having enjoyed a stay in 2014 we took advantage of the Winter Break offer but this time brought two friends with us to celebrate my wife's birthday. Last year was good but if anything this year's stay was even better. It's hard to find anything to criticise in our stay. We had rooms in Bridge House and they were spacious... More

We enjoyed a splendid Sunday lunch with some friends. The food is first class with excellent service. Our aperitifs were served in a beautiful room with a lovely welcoming open fire. We had a table with fantastic views and were very impressed with the whole experience. The Sunday roast was served to perfection & with our annual membership we enjoyed... More
