We arrived quite late on in Portmerion, but were able take advantage of room service, wander around the village, have a G&T (served by an attentive porter) in the hotel close to midnight. Our rooms were in the lovely Bridge House in the village. My room had a wonderful view of the estuary. The complimentary sherry was a nice surprise.... More

We stayed here for two nights in a fabulous village suite, which had the most stunning views right down the estuary. Our suite was 'Upper Pilot' and consisted of a wonderful and light and airy lounge, bedroom and bathroom. There were beautiful views from every room. It was situated right in the middle of this totally enchanting village, just a... More

Portmeirion is a quirky and beautiful gem in north Wales. The hotel has an outstanding location with breathtaking views. But step inside and you could be mistaken for thinking that the staff were in the middle of moving furniture to enable a refurbishment. Mix of styles, higgledy piggledy room arrangements, bedrooms just about average and annoyingly erratic wifi.

We had a village room (Salutation 1), was nice with views of the village, shower not that powerful but always hot, nicely decorated, quiet, good toiletries and free sherry a nice touch. It is lovely to be here before the day guests arrive and after they leave. Nice to wonder through the village as well as take coastal and woodland... More

Only stayed one night in a room in the main building but well worth it for the experience. Portmeirion is very different when all of the visitors have left and this is a great hotel. Ate in the restaurant which is absolutely first class. Overall quite pricey but you get what you pay for. Looking forward to next visit.

You cannot fault the location, overlooking the estuary and the beautiful rolling hills on the other side. It is very quiet set in the heart of the fascinating Portmeirion village with lots of walks through the woods full of specimen trees and occasional follies. The hotel itself is full of character, but our room was musty and needed a really... More

We stayed in a private apartment with views over the estuary and had a slap up dinner and breakfast included in the price. The food was first class. I had lobster for starters, Welsh lamb for main and a cherry dessert. All together we spent £300. It was a special treat for us and worth every penny. Especially considering a... More

Portmeirion is unique and in the most picturesque of locations. It is wonderful to stay in the village. We stayed in Anchor and enjoyed views right across the estuary. The suite was comfortable. There was a shower over the bath and good toiletries although hair conditioner was missing..We had some problems with the WIFI. IThe main hotel restaurant is deserving... More

This is one of the best places we have ever been to! Where else can you get beautiful architecture, grandeur of castles, evergreen forests, cliffsides, vast beaches, and the sea waters... all together! Too good! Highly recommended!!!!

We stayed in the hotel as a birthday treat for my partner. He loves Portmeirion and was delighted when we arrived. The room was comfy although a little warm. We had a view of the estuary. It was lovely to see the village at night and early in the morning before the crowds arrived.
