We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute. The access lane had us a little confused as you cannot imagine it leads to a hotel but when you arrive it is well worth it. The location is superb, the views are outstanding and the welcome warm. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We didn't eat in the restaurant but... More

From the minute you arrive until you leave all the staff make you welcome and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are excellant, very clean and comfortable. The gardens and view of Snowdon add to the relaxing feel but best of is to come, the food is the best I ever had in hotels and having been to many... More

An incredible view on the valley and the Snodown. However, it stops there. If you are a couple, all the rooms have a view. If you are with your son, you will have a room with twin beds, the view is on the back, on the trash cans. In restaurant, service is pitiful. First evening, we waited 40 minutes before... More

Hi, thank you for your comments. Firstly, allocation of rooms is strictly based on availability and type of room requested, rather than personal circumstances. The rear view is not over trash cans (bins) - they are positioned in the car park, away from any rooms. Occasionally a small bottle bin is located near the back door for ease of use.... More

Just returned from 3 nights at this little gem of a hotel tucked away in a totally private and undisturbed part of this stunning Snowdonian landscape. Perfectly placed for visiting Portmeirion, Portmadog and further afield. Staff were lovely, made everyone feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Rooms are it has to be said, a little dated but... More

Hi, thank you for your lovely comments regarding the food and location. The room refurbishments are ongoing and 5 rooms are planned for full refurbishment this winter, as well as significant improvements across all rooms. For future guests please be assured all rooms are clean, tidy and fully functional. Most of the comments we receive are regarding the colour (green)... More

In desperate need for some quality time away from the usual "rat race" we call life I stumbled across "Brynllydan Hotel" and immediately booked it purely on location and one photograph of the accomodation, believe me, for me that was totaly out of character. After a 153 mile journey I turned into a one track lane which winded it's way... More

If you think Egg Mayonaise & Corn on the cob are starters in the 21st century , youll love it! An hour & forty minutes wait for so so sunday lunch with surely waiting staff ans soggy pastry on the apple pie. The coffee was a no show But the rudeness from the manager was there in plenty. Not so... More

This unpleasant customer arrived without booking in advance during an extremely busy period. The starters were served within 25 minutes of ordering, with the main meal being served shortly after the starters being cleared. All our food is cooked to order and a slight delay is sometimes inevitable during busy times. Although many other customers that day enjoyed the Apple... More

Hidden down a windy country lane - the welcome we received when arriving earlier than advised was great. Colleen had already advised us of travel details( sat nav ) before we arrived and when we got there she quickly made us welcome. The lounge/ din ing room area is in keeping with the area - clean& well presented with fantastic... More
