Excellent communication from the owners not to rely on satnav. Hotel approached along a narrowish road that does have passing places which adds to the charm and attraction of Brynllydan. Very welcoming, a lovely room which was spotlessly clean with tremendous views over Snowdonia. Lovely large garden areas with seating just to take in the views. Comfortable lounge area with... More

After having a job getting to the htoel, I had a lovely welsome. The bed was lumpy and I found it difficult to get comfy, and when people walked along the corridor, all the furniture rattled which woke me up... I woke up to a wonderful view which makes a nice change :) The dining room was lovely, but as... More

I stayed here for the night to go to Porthmadog and collect a boat for a customer. The proprietors were extremely friendly and welcoming. The views were stunning and location ideal. Spotlessly clean and very comfy bed ! Breakfast was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to go back with my family for a holiday break some... More

Had the garlic mushrooms with bacon bits starter and steak for mains was delicious!!! Great, quick service! Was seated by the bar before taken to our table! Really nice place, a bit out of the way but lovely scenery! Staff were friendly so I do recommend!

This hotel has fantatic views and beautiful surroundings. However we were very disappointed when we arrived and discovered that the hotel has no restaurant any longer. We had to drive back app 2 miles to a village and a pub there. WiFi does not work in the rooms. The room we had was very small. Access road long (1 mile)... More

Fab location overlooking the mountains. Very Cosy atmosphere with a warm welcome when you arrive. Rooms are a little basic but clean and all you need. Good food with friendly staff. The bar has a limited selection of drinks but adequate. Ideal for a sneaky break from the hustle and bustle of busy life.

We have previously visited this hotel on couple of occasions. And stayed there specifically because of the location being away from everything and having an amazing restaurant on site so once you arrived you could enjoy the views, relax, get a drink at the bar and snack and sit and enjoy the views and look forward to the great restaurant... A few years ago I was on a business trip and stayed at one of those chain hotels. The bed was scratchy. The food was appalling. The place had a complete lack of character. It was about £90 per night. I remember staying for an evening meal described as Beef Stew. It was about one spoonful and cost £10. That... More

A journey down a long windy lane sets the mood for a real escape to this beautiful part of the world. The views are, of course, amazing, but this doesn't stop the hotel from making an effort for its guests rather than just relying on its location. We received a friendly welcome and after settling into our comfortable room (with... More
