Comfortable and clean. Reasonably priced. We prefer hotels with history and caracter that are family owned. Nice balcony to enjoy the sunset, centrally located and easy to walk both down town or to the mall toward Rushmore. Continental breakfast is a nice touch. Staff is friendly and concerned. Loved the home like feel of the place.

This property is very old. In fact I didn't sleep well thinking about bad tings that could happen with an old building. The shower was tiny and in need of repair. The air conditioning didn't work and parking is awful. The only positive thing to say is the two people I interacted with on the staff were both very nice... More

Was very happy with this choice for a hotel in Keystone. Location was great for the small town. Extremely close to Mt Rushmore and within driving distance to other attractions in the area. Hotel was older but clean. Breakfast was subpar but acceptable.

Last August I made the move from AZ to WI, and SD was a huge stop for me on our road trip, as I've always loved Keystone since I was a kid. The Roosevelt took us last minute and was the cheapest of the nicer hotels there. The restaurant attached, was also amazing!!! They do have a smaller pool, which... More

The couple that own the Inn were great to deal with and talk to. The rooms were very clean and the free breakfast was great too. The over all stay was awesome and we'll plan on staying there again next time we go north.

Older building. Staff was more than helpful. Bathroom was small and the sink took forever to drain. Could use some major repairs. Wifi was slow. Not much more I can say about this property. Pizza restaurant attached was OK.

Good location, but that's about it. The pool is smaller than most backyard pools. Staff wasn't too friendly. Continental breakfast was a joke, even our kids were less than impressed. The vending machine was empty. Whirlpool came from someone's house. Cheap but not worth the stop unless you only want a bed to sleep on.

Reserved 2 rooms on 3/22/15. Asked for adjoining or next door. E mailed that would be done. Got there and the rooms were on opposite sides of the hall and one was 300 the other 305. Parking was on a steep small lot in back or across street or 5-6 places in front. If you had to park in back... More

Although we regret that the Roosevelt Inn failed to meet your expectations, the points you make are well taken. As others have noted (and with which we agree) Internet service leaves much to be desired. We would only note that all properties in Keystone have the same issues because the entire town is serviced by only one antiquated trunk line.... More

We visited Memorial Day weekend and we definitely did not expect to have such a pleasant experience lodging here. There is complimentary WiFi, complimentary continental breakfast (my first time having biscuits & gravy, yum!) and pets stay free! Our party consisted of my husband, our 20 lb fat dog and me and we felt very welcomed and comfortable in our... More

We did a lot of research trying to find a nice affordable hotel. I really liked the pictures online of the room but was nervous with some of reviewers. I don't always listen to the negative but some of the responses from the owners made me hesitate. It seemed if there was something negative, they just disagreed rather than accepting... More

Thank you for your kind comments regarding the hotel and the information you provided about your WiFi expereince. I would agree with you that WiFi should not be the number one criteria for choosing the Roosevelt Inn or any other property in Keystone all of which have had guests reporting difficulties from time to time. We've had the "Geek Squad"... More
