My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2014 while it was still a Best Western. It was a great location for the Black Hills area. Minutes from Mt. Rushmore, Hill City and highway access to the rest of the Black Hills. The night desk manager was incredibly helpful and had many great recommendations (including the wonderful... More

We really liked where this hotel is located at.....its in the old rustic town of Keystone. It feels like the old western town in the middle of nowhere. It was a bit pricey than some of the other hotels in the area but service and front desk staffs were helpful and friendly.

I love the location of this hotel. It is just outside the of the town of Keystone so, you avoid the crowds and noise during the busy tourist season. Yet, there is a GREAT restaurant nearby...the Powder House. The 2nd and 3rd floor views of the hills are great. I found the room to be clean and got a great... More

The room was clean and the staff was friendly, good breakfast, close to mt. Rushmore. I would stay here again. No smoking rooms, but there is a area where you can lite up. Nice indoor pool. Thet just changed from a Best Western. It can be a little hard to find, GPS send us right past the place.

This property is now called the "Lodge at Mount Rushmore". It was shown on the Best Western website when I made my reservation but it is no longer a Best Western. The property is run down and in need of renovation. I wasn't satisfied with the cleanliness of my room and certain fixtures/amenities were missing or broken (smoke detector, hair... More

We booked one night at the BW last summer for an October stay. Best Western - safe recognizable good franchise. We luckily went during daylight to drop off our bags on the way to Mount Rushmore. YES we drove past the motel at least 4 times looking for the BEST WESTERN LOGO. We called 2x- the front desk lad DID... More

I had initially made reservations for one night at the K Bar S Lodge, but they called me ten days later to say there had been a problem with their reservations system that had allowed for overbooking, and our reservation was not valid. We were wanting to spend one night in Keystone to attend the evening lighting ceremony at Mt.... More

Greetings, thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Yes, we did have a water issue back in Sept., but our guests are the best and were very understanding. Booked this hotel on Best Western site several months ago, then found that there was a name change which made it hard to find, as we had not been informed of this. We were booked to spend 2 nights in this hotel. The first night everything was fine. The desk clerk recommended a great restaurant just down the road. The room was clean, all in all a charming hotel.
