Price is high for what you get. Rooms are nothing special. No real views, despite the name. Parking is a bit tricky as you have to navigate a steep incline to get up to the hotel. Service was perfunctory and my sense was that you could do better by booking one of the smaller properties nearby.

We stayed as a couple during a weekend tour of the black hills. Haveing spent nearly a hundred and a half in Deadwood the night prior we were extremely happy with the price of this place. We arrived to find a retired couple standing at the front desk complaining about nearly everything life had given them that day. The young... More

We asked for non smoking room, when we opened the door the smell of smoke was over powering. Went back to the desk the kids running the place just looked at me, no apologies or asking what they could do. Next room had wasps same treatment at the desk. The next room was ok, not very clean. We stayed two... More

Tiny rooms and not very clean. Mattresses were old and looked dirty. I looked under the bed to check because I feared the worst..and actually found money! I bet if the housekeeping staff bothered to look under bed they'd be surprised. Tiny shower and tub and when i had a quick soak in the tub i could see how dirty... More

The price that was advertised was NOT what they actually charge.... Just something to draw everyone in... It worked... It was ok but not what we had hoped for. Staff was hard to understand and not the friendliest. It was clean but had the old musky smell..

Stayed here for one night only, thank heavens!!! The room was so small you could hardly walk around. The floor was filthy and needed vacuumed badly - there was food and grit all over the very old carpet - DO NOT take your shoes off here! No coffee in the rooms, you needed to go to the lobby. The bathroom... More

The rooms are "extremely tiny"! Not family friendly at all. No coffee in room. Hike to lobby for coffee. Shower curtain floats in the shower. Beds are very low to the ground. Not a happy camper...at all!!!

We stayed here on 8/31/14 The first room that they gave us stunk so bad my husband almost threw up the smell was so bad! I turned down the covers to inspect the sheets and found a BUG! We went straight to the desk and asked for a new room (should have asked for our money back) the man at... More

My husband and I only stayed 1 night in this hotel. It was very out dated, and the view from our room was very bad. It was rocks holding up the side of the building, about 20 feet from the window. Also when I was in the lobby I heard 2 separate guests complain about their rooms. However the front... More
