On Vacation and our Motor Home broke down, we stumbled on the Battle Creek Lodge and were pleasantly surprised. Tammy and Cine were wonderful, the Lodge was clean and comfortable. We Highly recommend you do not miss spending time at the Lodge and exploring Historic Keystone and Mount Rushmore. Breakfast is included and Grandma's homemade iced cinnamon buns a specialty... Hello Tom ~ We are glad to learn that you made it home safe and sound! Thank you for staying with us. We enjoyed having you -- and although we hate that you had to break down and that there was a little delay in your cross-country adventure, we certainly are glad that it brought you our way. Thank you,... More

It is always a challenge to plan a trip to a place you've never been and trust that the marketing info on hotels etc is accurate and true. This little hotel fits the bill in every way!! So glad we chose Battlecreek as opposed to the Holiday Inn Express across the road. The room is as described very clean, neat,... More

This lodging experience was very good from start to finish. The reservation was trouble free and although our arrival was not early in the day, the proprietors were waiting for us with a smile and welcome. They were very helpful in identifying the best times to see and do everything from Mt Rushmore to Custer State Park. Breakfasts had the... More

We stayed here a couple of nights while visiting Mount Rushmore. Have nothing but good to say - comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and blankets, lots of fluffy towels and hot water. Very good breakfast with our hostess hovering around to supply our every need. Conveniently located to shopping district and close to Mount Rushmore.

Had it not been for the two ladies who run this hotel, I would give the property a fair rating. We were in #19, bottom floor, end unit. I would recommend asking for a room on the second floor. The room was average, in need of some sprucing up, but the beds were comfortable. The home made breakfast was great.... More

I was a little leery about staying here because of the pictures on the internet however, because of the wonderful reviews I was reading I thought we should give it a chance. It is unlike any place we normally stay at. We usually do the larger well-known hotels, however this was the start of our two week 30 year wedding... More

This was a great place to stay! The owners Tammy and Cine were awesome! Thanks to them we didn't miss the special Blasting Ceremony at Crazy Horse Memorial. They were very knowledgeable of the area and have great advise. We were only able to eat breakfast there once during or stay but really wish we were able to do it... More

First of all, I am not a fan of motels so I was not to hopeful. Boy was I surprised! The bed was super comfy with crisp white sheets. The towels were nice and fluffy and toiletries were great. Wifi was fast. Last but definitely not least, Tammy and Cine were just great. Very helpful with info about the town... More

I really wanted to give a glowing review because this was the friendliest place we stayed in our 8 night vacation, but I just can't do it. The pluses are the outdoor space is excellent and the quaint facility is charming. Cine and Tammy know the area and were great advisors as to where they like to eat and how... More

My family did a road trip for 2 weeks and by far the best hotel. Cine and Tammy were very welcoming and made you feel comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (especially the biscuits and the donuts they made for my kids). They knew I do not eat cheese and made eggs for me without it. They told us the best way... More
