My partner and I were on a 7 day self-contained bicycling trip of the Black Hills and spent two days in Keystone. This place was modestly priced (for this tourist town) and had good reviews, so we tried it. So glad we did. The innkeeper was very friendly to us throughout our time there and on one occasion she went... More

We go to the Hills a couple times a year and always stay at the Brookside! It has been years since we started staying with them and have never been disappointed! It is quiet, very clean and very accommodating. Within walking distance from town so you can walk there if you like. Also close to other attratctions. We have never... More

We stayed at the Brookside for four days and nights. Found it to be very clean and very accommodating and very quiet. It is family owned and operated and run by family members who care about giving you the best service. We have been staying at this motel on and off for several years one to two times a year... More

Basic small motel, but staff could care less that the WiFi didn't work. Also wasn't happy we asked for a third bath towel or a second cup. Bad pillows, and only one per person. We didn't dare ask for more.

We began a 1-month road trip through the US by stopping at Mt. Rushmore. On July We stayed at the Brookside Motel for our 1 night stopover. The motel, like most people have stated, is quite dated, but you can tell it's very well maintained. It was worth knowing we were staying in a clean location for the night.

Our family of seven and one guest from Spain stayed for three nights. We had two upstair rooms facing the "brook". The rooms were very large, clean, and contained all the amenites that we needed on our vacation. The heated pool was small but was fine as our family members were the only ones using it for the days we... More

This is a cute motel near Rushmore. There are no thrills attached, but all we wanted was a clean, quiet close to the attractions room for us and our 2 kids. Our room was surprisingly large; however the WiFi was very slow..which was fine for us because it was only 1 night. My daughter forgot her blanket, the owner went... More

This is an interesting place. It's really old and really old fashioned. It looks like it is really past its prime but the owners have cleaned, patched, painted and clearly gone out of their way to keep it up. (in a kinda do-it-yourself kinda way). Its laid out in the old "motor lodge" motif from Route 66 in the 1950's.... More

First, the +s are a refrigerator, clean, shampoos and lotions provided heating/cooling fine, bed was good, and the price of $50 + tax was much lower than others when I booked online. I had stayed at K&B Boardwalk Suites near the west side of town a few years ago but they were closed for the season this trip. Now, the... More

Stayed three nights right after Sturgis bike rally so things were a little more quiet and not so busy. Had 2nd floor room next to the creek. Very large room with comfortable beds. As someone mentioned before, the pool is small but clean, luckily while we were there it was mostly empty. I'm sure it probably gets crowded when it's... More
