We booked two nights here - this was one of the only hotels in the area that could accommodate five in one room for a reasonable price. (And I'd love to know how an earlier reviewer paid $80/night, as we paid $140/night with a AAA discount.) Staff was friendly and helpful - but I think everyone on the staff smoked,... more

We planned a family vacation for 11 and booked rooms in April. When we arrived, the rooms were not as we had booked. We specifically requested ground floor because of special needs. Two of the three rooms were on the second floor. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. The "handicap" room was barely big enough for a wheelchair around the two beds.... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night, on the night of the Mount Rushmore fireworks. The hotel is nearly a mile away from the town, so if you plan to walk up the hill to watch the fireworks, it's better to drive to town and try to park a bit closer -- you'll save at least 1/2 mile each... more

We stayed for one night. The price was high in my opinion for the shoe box of a room we had. We've stayed in other small town motels that had better rooms. Though I'm a smoker, we always get non-smoking rooms and this non-smoking room was definitely a former smoking room, which had not been recovered properly. The front desk... more

I booked two free reward nights at this place knowing I was not booking anything more than an Econo Lodge, and a free one at that. When I figured out where it was (off the main drag, kinda out on the edge of town) I was pretty disappointed. Need to get in the car to get to town. Town is... more

We stayed here on the 4th of July for one night. It is clean, comfortable, and close to everything. Front desk was polite and helpful. It is an EconoLodge so the sheets are thin and there are no amenities like soap in the bathroom, but 80 dollars for a holiday night is great. Important thing is clean, quiet and comfortable! more

Pros: Clean. Shower and bathroom were clean. The only that was kind of iffy was between the tv and piece of paper that tells the channels was a little "gooey" or stick, but overall clean. Cons: Breakfast. I guess you could say they try, kind of. Toast, English muffins, some mini muffins, apple juice, coffe, and soft boiled eggs. That's... more

We arrived about 11:00 p.m. The office was closed but, they taped our keys to the door of the office. I had booked two rooms because there were 5 of us. The hotel was off a quiet street of a neighborhood. The room was very clean however, a little small. For the night it was fine for a quick one night... more

Traveling with 2 children under 2, we were at first hesitant about booking such a inexpensive hotel room. But we wanted to spend our hard-earned money on visiting places such as Mt. Rushmore and not want to waste in on useless amenities as gyms, spas or free high speed internet that most hotels offer nowadays. We spent 11 hours on... more
