This was an older hotel with updated rooms. The staff was friendly. Pool was lovely. We had a suite with a couch that was torn and I reported it. The manager was happy that I reported it and she said it would be taken care of. But on the 2nd day it still hadn't been. Breakfast was not that great... More

This is an older hotel but our room was newer and we liked it. Second floor, large room with convenient back door to the steps. We arrived at night and were glad to get a room. Located near Mt. Rushmore, it was a great find.

Stayed Wed 9-18-13. Lady at the desk was the best ever - friendly, accommodating, good advice on the area. Parking is tight, but I had motorcycle and she had us park right up by front door. Room was small, but adequate. Just need to sleep and bathe so how big a room does one really need? Too old for stairs... More

This was a good choice as we were close to Mount Rushmore and the town itself is a nice place to walk about. The room itself was a bit small but it was clean and we were comfortable there. The parking was tight. Not too much choice at brreakfast but as we had an early start we were pleased they started... Located very close to Mt Rushmore. Don't expect triple A accommodations, but the suite that we stayed in was large and clean. Parking was a little tight. Staff was friendly. Motel was just far enough off the beaten trail to keep the traffic light compared to downtown.

We stayed over labor day weekend last fall. We had a suite and a regular room. The suite was spacious and clean. The room was not very updated but then again it was in good condition for the furnishing's age. Our regular room was indeed one of the smallest I have stayed in but clean. We found the location perfect... More

Keystone is where Rushmore is, and it can be crowded since the land is at a premium, but Econo Lodge pushes it. When we parked, there was one spot left, and what the later check-ins do is a mystery. They say they have a parking lot, and they do, but they can't fit everyone in when it's packed. The room?... More

We chose the Econo Lodge because we wanted to stay near Mt. Rushmore for a reasonable price. And to that end, it was fine. Less than half the price of other Keystone hotels. We felt safe and the room was clean. However, this older property is in desperate need of an update. Vinyl bathroom floor and Formica counter top. Worn... More

Very friendly front desk lady:) The breakfast was very good. The room was a tad stinky and the carpet had not been vacuumed. The floors were noisy when you walked. We chose this hotel thinking it was within walking distance to DT Keystone. It was not - we had to drive and park.

This hotel charges way too much for the quality of the place. - A cold shower at 7 AM in the morning! - A very small room - One small waste basket for the entire room - none in the bathroom - The bed was lumpy and I asked for special consideration since I had back surgery recently - The... More
