First is the location. Quiet and peaceful location. This hotel is not in town but about a mile away from the center on a straight and level road. There is free parking in town (near the Holiday Inn) and you can get there and back without having to drive through the mad crush of humanity and cars in the city... More

Our room smelled terrible. I told desk clerk and she gave me deodorizing spray to use but it was so bad even that didn't help. Keystone hotels are expensive and fill this time of year. If things hadn't been totally full I would have demanded another room or went elsewhere, but instead we touched it out. They did have a... More

If you watched the sitcom "Cheers" and saw Norm's office you will get the picture. Two people could not pass at one time in this room. Air conditioner was loud, no breakfast and it was a high price to pay for this room. I will however say that the room was clean for what we could see because the floor... More

We stayed in a "suite" with two full size bed. Room was "rustic" and can be considered adequate. Lighting in the room was not bright. No elevator to upper floors. Complimentary continental breakfast was very sparse, with bread, bagels, and English muffins. Fruits consist of small apples, oranges and bananas. Cleanliness of the place is substandard. For the price I... More

The room was tiny, the chairs weren't comfortable. The bed (queen) was fine. The site we booked with said this was a two star hotel, it isn't. There are much nicer hotels in Keystone, and the Hills for the money. The breakfast offered few choices.

The rooms are tiny but clean, the bed is super-soft and crowded between walls and all the furniture is past its prime. Sound-proofing is poor, climate control is good. The smoking rooms are all downstairs and there was no smoke smell in our upstairs room. Parking immediately outside the building is tight and limited but there are large open parking... More

Nice little place to stay and it was on the outskirts of town. Pool was clean and warm. Hot tub was great! Room was small but everything looked nice. Room did NOT smell like cigarettes. Never heard anyone through the walls. They offered breakfast items such as toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, apples, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and my favorite... More

The hotel is off the beaten-track --tucked back in a small town very close to Mt. Rushmore--, but the value is tremendous. The rooms tend to be small, but clean and comfortable. The indoor pool and spa were really surprisingly nice --in fact, the pool temperature was absolutely perfect! The morning complementary breakfast is not tremendous, but you can get... More

Basic Econo Lodge with friendly employees, clean room and convenient location (short drive to Mt. Rushmore and near tourist themed shops). Free internet and breakfast. Room and bed tight but for $45 a night, we were happy.
