My family and I booked this on a spur of the moment,,,,I genuinely wish that I had done more research on the place before going there. What attracted me to it was first and foremost the location. it can be found steps from one of the entrances to Mt Rainier National Park. We stayed in one of the stand-alone cabins...right... More

I will not repeat what several reviewers have noted below about the cabins being outdated and small. The Gateway Inn is a bargin comparatively, and you can not beat the location; however, the customer service for the Inn and Cabins is very poor. I traveled with magazine journalists earlier in the spring, and the person helping out (the manager was... More

We booked cabin( for 3 person), but got the upstairs room instead, it was 3 bedrooms with 1 bath. The place was very outdated and looked like was mismatch. Patch up job, everything looked cheap, furniture was so outdated, no side tables in bedroom, no mirror.no bedside lamp. Toilet was next to shower and it was so tight, narrow, even for... More

This "hotel" had been recommanded by our travel agency, but instead of rooms we got two wooden cabins, which were very dark inside with very ugly interior and furniture (second hand). We doubt if the rooms were clean but could not see. A terrible fire smell was not pleasant (fireplace inside). We were lucky not to have to stay there... More

We arrived later in the evening. The office was closed, but the owner quickly let us in. Took a few minutes to get situated and get to our cabin. The cabin we stayed in was basically a motel room. Two double sized beds, tv, microwave and fridge. I think the other cabins were bigger and had kitchens and fireplaces, so... More

My family and i stayed here for 1 night Mid June. Its a cute log cabin right outside the enterance to the park. there is a little convinence store that is next to the cabins, owned by the same people. they also have a little place to eat. I did not eat there, but it looked nice enough. The interior of... More

Arrived and was given the upgrade to cabin 3. Should have taken the 2 room suite above the restaurant. Wife is not the camping type so this is her review: Big spider on the towel which the man killed, TP roll less than 1/4 full. eclectic lamps, flooring, and curtains. refused to use the show I preferred to stink. Paneling... More

'I recently booked this hotel 6/2/14 and stayed there one of the two nights that I had reserved. My family and I have frequently stayed at what we would term mom and pop type motels and have never had a bad experience until now. Let me first state that we dont feel the need to have a 4 star room... More

This motel is right next to the west gate of the park so perfect for all visits to Paradise and surroundings. It was the cheapest in the area . We booked a suite and were given a log cabin with an open wood fire! It was very comfortable and certainly suited our needs. The restaurant was limited but food was... More

My business colleague and I stayed here during the Rainier Indie Film Fest and were booked in the room above the restaurant. In fairness, the cottages looked much better. This is the closest place you can stay near the entrance to the park. Skip to bottom for "BOTTOM LINE". There is a restaurant and "store" (if you want to call... More
