The Cedar Grove cabin was perfect for the two of us. No wifi, no cell and no tv service combined with three days of medium hikes, immediate soaks in the hot tub and quiet meals for the two of us was perfect. The cabin has all the amenities, modern, lots of windows and set back far enough from the road... More

The word cabin isn't exactly correct. It is more like an appartment with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, spatious living room and a hot tub if you're lucky like we were. it's close to the park and it's a wonderful setting in the woods. We even had visit on our balcony from a raccoon. Plenty of restaurants close by as well... More

I stayed in the Maplewild cabin for 4 nights in August and I never wanted to leave. I had just come from 2 nights at Paradise Inn and it while it was heaven in the park; it was heaven in the cabin. They are very nice and accommodating people. They had one DVD I took to watch in the cabin... More

Dear Hazeleyes, Thank you very much for your very nice and detailed review of Maplewild cabin. Coincidentally, before reading your review, we switched out the TV in Maplewild for a much larger flat screen which fits in the armoire. So we are totally in agreement with your suggestion! Thanks for staying with us and warm regards, Janet More

Comfortable cabin in the forest with great hot tub for soaking.. What a wonderful setting! I could live here! :) Close to everything: the park is only a few miles away, and restaurants are close by too. We'll be back!

Our mini road trip in the USA concluded with a three night stay in the Deep Forest cabins. What a fantastic way to spend our last three days. The cabin had everything we needed in a simplistic rustic manner. The hot tub was a dream, soaking away the days aches amid the sounds of the forest wildlife and the starlit... More

My husband and I stayed at the Deep Forest Cabins Chanterelle Guest House in mid-August so that we could do three days of hiking in and near the SW portion of Mt Rainier National Park. It was perfect for us. The location is right outside the park and not far from a few restaurants. There is no kitchen in the... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your very nice review. We are happy you liked staying in Chanterelle while you explored Mt Rainier. Thank you for your suggestion. We have now installed screens on the windows of that cabin, so now all of our cabins have screens on the windows. Thanks again and best regards, Janet More

How wonderful to spend a day hiking and then to come to a place a lovely as this! It's just outside the Nisqually Entrance to the Mt Rainier National Park. Maplewild is surrounded by forest. Yes, you can hear cars on the highway below, but it didn't take away from the experience. We stopped in Tacoma and bought groceries for... More

We stayed in the Cedar Grove cabin for two nights. The cabin was spacious and had a full kitchen, bath with whirlpool and an outdoor hot tub on the deck. Surrounded by cedars the cabin was aptly named. Close to the Nisqually entrance it provided easy access to Mt Rainier NP.

Very Clean. Tastefully decorated room, cabin feel with newer kitchen appliances. Thick soft towels (and plenty of them!), good shower-although I wish the shower head could change its wide stream for more force in a single flow- deep shower/bath have to really step up and over edge. Natural soaps- encouraged me to buy same when I got home it worked... More

My husband and I stayed at one of the Deep Forest Cabins for 2 nights in order to have close proximity to Mt Ranier National Park. The cabin was about a 2 minute drive from the southwest (Nisqually) entrance to the park, so the location couldn't have been better. It was beautiful, all wood inside, serviceable little kitchen stocked with... More
