My husband and I stayed at the Deep Forest Cabins Chanterelle Guest House in mid-August so that we could do three days of hiking in and near the SW portion of Mt Rainier National Park. It was perfect for us. The location is right outside the park and not far from a few restaurants. There is no kitchen in the... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your very nice review. We are happy you liked staying in Chanterelle while you explored Mt Rainier. Thank you for your suggestion. We have now installed screens on the windows of that cabin, so now all of our cabins have screens on the windows. Thanks again and best regards, Janet More

How wonderful to spend a day hiking and then to come to a place a lovely as this! It's just outside the Nisqually Entrance to the Mt Rainier National Park. Maplewild is surrounded by forest. Yes, you can hear cars on the highway below, but it didn't take away from the experience. We stopped in Tacoma and bought groceries for... More

We stayed in the Cedar Grove cabin for two nights. The cabin was spacious and had a full kitchen, bath with whirlpool and an outdoor hot tub on the deck. Surrounded by cedars the cabin was aptly named. Close to the Nisqually entrance it provided easy access to Mt Rainier NP.

Very Clean. Tastefully decorated room, cabin feel with newer kitchen appliances. Thick soft towels (and plenty of them!), good shower-although I wish the shower head could change its wide stream for more force in a single flow- deep shower/bath have to really step up and over edge. Natural soaps- encouraged me to buy same when I got home it worked... More

My husband and I stayed at one of the Deep Forest Cabins for 2 nights in order to have close proximity to Mt Ranier National Park. The cabin was about a 2 minute drive from the southwest (Nisqually) entrance to the park, so the location couldn't have been better. It was beautiful, all wood inside, serviceable little kitchen stocked with... More

We were lucky enough to get to spend 3 nights at Salal and I can not say enough wonderful things about this cabin, the people who own the cabins, the location-- all of it! First, the folks who own Deep Forest Cabins are extremely pleasant and very helpful. The location is very convenient to the entrance of Mount Rainier. Salal... More

My husband and I stayed here recently for two nights in the Chanterelle Cabin. What looks like a shed from the outside opens up into a perfect little hideaway in the forest. The high ceilings makes it very spacious and the cabin is extremely well appointed and comfortable. It is warm and cosy and so very peaceful. The location is... More

I recently stayed in the Maplewild cabin with my husband and young son for a night and we wish we could have stayed longer! From the outside the cabin appears unremarkable but once you open the door it is anything but! The cabin is outfitted with beautiful woodwork, a spacious bathroom and kitchen and sizable living space considering the overall... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your very nice review, we appreciate it. We had just put new big windows in the bedroom in that cabin (Maplewild) so we had not yet hung the new shades. Now all the windows in that cabin (and all of our other cabins) have window coverings. Sorry they did not have them for your stay.... More

We stayed only one night in the Chanterelle cabin. The cabin was deep in the woods and at the top of a steep and narrow driveway but very easy to find thanks to the map and directions given to us at the front office. The cabin was clean, comfortable, romantic, and well-appointed. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and a... More

Family of 3 had a 2 night stay in the Maplewild. Very cozy and very nice. Not a large cabin but fit our party of 3 perfectly. The couch in the living room worked perfectly for our son. Amazed at how clean, neat, tidy, and modern the place was fixed up. I think its the nicest "cabin" I've ever been... More
