This inn is extremely outdated. It looks as though nothing has been maintained since the innkeepers to over some 30 years ago. There was a hole in both arms of the sleeper sofa. The master bed slanted downward. The grounds were covered in weeds. Breakfast was served with a rotten strawberry garnishment. The inn says they have wi-fi but I... More

The main reason for staying here is it's location to Mt Rainier. It is a quaint building with quirky, somewhat tired, rooms. There is an exceptionally beautiful trout pond at the rear with its own waterfall feature. It is very relaxing. Just to add to this, there is a Hot tub overlooking the pond with excellent views. Every evening there... More

Alexander's location, very near the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, is hard to beat. Rooms are clean, if small, and provide basic amenities. The complimentary wine provided each night is terribly sweet; the water flavored with fresh fruit and cucumbers is a better bet. Breakfasts are ample and quite good. At dinner, your best bet is to stick... More

My two college-age daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alexander's Country Inn. It reminded us of a family cottage. The staff was as friendly as could be; the location was great for Mt. Rainier. It is an older facility and not as fancy as the city hotels, but the charm and comfort more than made up for that.... More

Three stars for the room and two for the restaurant. There are not a lot of choices for good lodging at the western entrance of Mt. Rainier NP. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, they would not hold our luggage for our early arrival as they did the previous year. The rooms do not have a large table big... More

Stayed here because it was too late to book in the one of the inns inside the National Park. The tone and atmosphere was a bit uptight -- staff seemed to be going through the motions but not happy about it. Temperatures of 90 degrees are unusual this time of year so my room was uncomfortably hot with only a... More

Chose this Inn based on the good reviews and the excellent location. We were not expecting a new facility, but we were expecting a pleasant staff which did not happen. We arrived after flying across the country tired and hungry, checked in and went down to the deserted (3 couples) dining room. It took some time for the staff to... More

Located just outside of Mt Rainier National Park, Alexander's lived up to our expectations for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The building is old which adds a certain amount of charm. The staff was cordial, and the meals were very good. The room that we stayed in was hot and lacked natural ventilation due to the fact that only one... More

I used this B&B during my visit to Mt. Rainier. The stuff were all very friendly and helpful. The B&B's backyard pound with trout was very lovely and the front garden, which you could easily see from the dining room was just charming. My only small complain is with the bathroom. I was assigned to one of the suites in... More

Fantastic place to return to each day after long hikes on the mountain! For the price of a room you get an amazing number of benefits. We especially appreciated the delicious full breakfast which you can choose off the menu, free! You sign up the night before for a time you want in the morning. When you arrive they have... More
