We stopped into Alexander's to have a early Father's Day breakfast. (one day early). As a local, I never knew that dining wasn't open to the public for breakfast. Gladly the were willing to serve our group of 8. The hostess was friendly and attentive. The waitress was excellent. And the prices where great. The menu was limited, but the... More

We stayed in Forest House with low expectations due to some recent TA comments. However, I found the three bedroom house to be great. It was a 70's ranch but it was clean and comfortable. The house was well appointed for long stays and self catering. We stayed one night with the desire to be away from an adult child... More

We were looking for a good place to stay near Mt. Rainier National Park for two nights. We located this hotel on TripAdvisor, and booked. We weren't disappointed. It's a quaint country hotel - small, but provided everything we needed. There are a few things you would need to know about it first, though, so here goes.... What we liked:... More

We stayed for the very first time here this last weekend for our anniversary. We loved it! When we made res's I told them it was for our anniversary and was not sure which room to reserve. They gave great guidance and even had a few small goodies for us upon our arrival. They made us feel very special the... More

Alexander's Country Inn appears more modern and less rustic than the other options in Ashford, which are of the rustic motel-cabin vintage and not updated. We had a comfortable suite with a private patio just off the main lounge, which has a fireplace and comfortable seating. There is a separate TV lounge with complimentary coffee/tea/wine in the late afternoon. The... More

Do not stay at the "guest houses"! Very overpriced, smells terrible (like old molded, musty place ). Also you pay a premium and get a breakfast "basket " which is a cooler with an apple, muffin (marginal quality-/cold), and juice. We paid the most for this place of all the places we stayed on our vacation to Washington and it... More

If you are going to spend the day at Mt. Rainier, this is the place to stay the evening. It is such a pretty location with their own trout pond in the rear and the rooms are comfortable and nice. They offer you snacks when you arrive in the afternoon and give you a sit down, off the menu breakfast... More

After a day spent in the drizzly clouds on Mt. Rainier, the cozy warmth of this in was just what we needed. Nothing new and fancy, lots of antiques chosen with love. Then came the morning and breakfast- - - so good with great staff. We would come back (and hope the sun is here next time!)

I'm sorry that the previous reviewer had such a hard time, because we had an awsome time! everything was perfect. We were the only ones in the hotel because we were there on a Thursday night. We always wanted to stay here and decided to stop this time. The first thing I saw when gettting out of the car was... More

I'll start with the bed: it was hard and slumped in toward the middle. I've slept on comfier air mattresses. I could not sleep and even my easy to please husband had a tough time with it. When I woke at 4 am - first breakfast not available until 8 - with a horribly throbbing back and an empty tummy.... More
