Less than a mile from the entrance to Mount Rainier, we stayed in the Maple Cabin at Mounthaven - it had two cute little bedrooms - could easily sleep 3-4 kids and a mom & dad. Cozy, clean, well-kept. No hidden spiderwebs or nasty-looking rust / grime in the bathroom - even the shower curtain looked brand new. Best part:... More

Zandy and her precious little girl greeted us when we arrived. The resort is very close to the west entrance to Mount Rainier (less than one mile) and has cabins as well as campsites for tents or RV'ers. The resort is in a heavily wooded area, very picturesque. The shower/laundry area is centrally located and very clean. We were surprised... More

We play at Mt Rainier year round, but in the summer camping sites in and around the park are sometimes hard to find. We have been to this full service campground 6-7 times in the last few years and is our kick-off site for climbing the mountain. These folks are friendly and helpful to make your stay a good one.... Though everything was good about the place, I was surprised to see them apply an additional cleaning charges to my credit card. Upon inquiring I was informed that we had moved some furniture - when we had just moved couple of chairs from dining table to the hall. Please be careful to read the terms when you make the payment... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Mounthaven Resort. While we do not enjoy charging guests cleaning fee's, it occasional has to be done when warranted. In this case, it had nothing to do with dining room chairs. All of the living room furniture was moved/rearranged to different parts of the... More

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful little getaway and this couldn't have been any better. We had the Spruce cabin for 2 people and it was cozy and comfortable and we had the wood burning stove going all night till we fell asleep. The owners were so nice and accommodating we just felt immediately at home. A... More

We were in the newly refurbed (or built) Alder cabin for 2 nights while prepping to climb Mt Rainier. The location couldn't have been better as we needed to go in/out of the park. But more importantly, the cabin and environment was the perfect spot to rest and prepare. There was plenty of space for 3 adults with equipment and... More

We stayed at this resort, which is a combination of cabins and some RVs, to overnight while visiting Mount Rainier Park. The resort is under new management, with a very lovely husband/wife team. We stayed in one of the newly renovated cabins and were very happy: it was well appointed in terms of amenities (towels, shower products, a selection of... More

We spent a week in the small "Oak" cabin, which is attached to the owner's home and the original cabin on the property. The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful, and take great pride in their facility. The two minor issues we had were resolved quickly. I have a great photo of "rush hour" at Mounthaven - four deer on the... More

We spent four nights in a small, very clean, cabin. The facilities were perfect for our daily hikes in Rainier NP. It is less than 1/2 mile from the entrance to Rainier NP. The newly remodeled interiors provided us with a quiet restful place to stay. The kitchenette was fully equipped with dishes, a coffee maker, toaster, etc. There was... More

For the price, this is a great place to stay. The grounds are supurb, with many guests and children playing outside. It has a campy feel to it. Fireplaces in the rooms, firepits outside with seating areas. The only complaint was that our room's mattress wasn't four star quality, but we slept well. The owners are fabulous. Very nice and...
