I kind of have mixed feelings about this campground. We didnt experience the friendly owners and I think $3 a night extra per dog is a bit crazy. The shower and bathroom was nice and clean but there was only one. It was large enough for a family to use which is helpful when you have small children. The site... More

Lovely, well-maintained cabins. There's also a separate washroom: good if you need a dryer after a rainy hike! Cabin a bit on the small side, but well-appointed: even the coffee provided was good. (Please put some of those individual creamers in the fridge instead of powder!) Located just outside of the park, right near Wild Berry and Copper Kettle Restaurants.

I simply couldn't understand the high reviews of this place. We made the reservation due to what we saw on tripadvisor. Time to set the record straight. We arrived to find that the maple cabin is right next to a busy road (see photo) and over the septic tank. (Wonderful). Despite all other cabins having cars parked right next to... More

First of all, not all Guest reviews are fair or accurate, Time to set the record straight! This group was unhappy the moment they checked in, as they were deceitful about the number or people that were going to be staying in the cabin for the 3 nights they were here. Their invoice was adjusted accordingly upon check-in to reflect... More

First of all, we like staying with small local places like this. Its great to be able to meet the owners. There is something more satisfying about knowing that your money stays locally. This couldn't be more the case with the owners of Mounthaven. The owners James and Zandy are always on site, and tend to almost every aspect of... More

We were looking for a place to stay while we did some day hiking on Mount Rainier for a couple of days. Mounthaven was perfect for our needs. We (2 adults, 2 children: 11, 8) stayed in the Fir cabin. The beds in the lofts were kind of fun and the kids really liked them. The cabin had everything we... More

What a great place. We stayed in the Maple Cabin. Its a great cabin right next to a beautiful creek. The cabin was clean and comfortable with more than enough room for the 4 in our group. We could have stayed here forever. The place is very welcoming to families and the owners, James & Zandy, are great. They were... More

A couple of nights ago we stayed in the Maple Cabin. The cabin was comfortable, quiet, clean and cozy. The owners paid attention to details such as plenty of towels, a decent set of dishes and utensils and a sizable coffee maker. There is a washer/dryer and wi-fi spot near the RV hook-ups. The best part was it only took... More

My husband and teenage son stayed in Oak Cabin recently, which had two queen sized beds in one room, a small kitchen area with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and refrigerator, a small table, and an adequately sized bathroom. The unit is attached to the office, and was recently renovated according to the owner. The room was very clean, nice,... More

Wonderful, clean, friendly, near restaurants, safe, comfortable .... EZ parking for RV hook up. We were anxious coming from Wisconsin and could not have had a better stay! We felt right at home. Even had a washer and dryer, along with clean shower and bathroom. Bob and Paula

Less than a mile from the entrance to Mount Rainier, we stayed in the Maple Cabin at Mounthaven - it had two cute little bedrooms - could easily sleep 3-4 kids and a mom & dad. Cozy, clean, well-kept. No hidden spiderwebs or nasty-looking rust / grime in the bathroom - even the shower curtain looked brand new. Best part:... More
