Cozy small R V park close to Mt. Rainier Park. Nothing fancy just space I between the trees. People are nice, and they got me an easy back in space. Real close to the park. Site was pretty level and utilities worked fine. There is also a couple of Resturaunt s fairly close with in driving distance.

While on a road trip with friends through WA and OR after disembarking a cruise in Seattle we all agreed we wanted to visit Mt Rainier National Park, staying in a cabin to fully enjoy the experience. After much searching, we decided on Mounthaven Resort as it was closest to the park entrance and started the booking process. Jamie was... More

Ok, look - if you're looking for a place that has big screen TV's with 1000 channels, gigabit WiFi, etc., save yourself the trouble and just go to a chain hotel that backs up against some trees. But if you're looking for a cozy, rustic environment in the woods than come here. While there was only one bathroom and shower... More

The Birch cabin was quite nice. It was smallish, but warm and tucked into the back of the park. There was a fire pit with a picnic table and two chairs, but we weren't able to use them because of the rain. The bed was a bit too small for out liking, and the toilet seemed to have some sort... More

I kind of have mixed feelings about this campground. We didnt experience the friendly owners and I think $3 a night extra per dog is a bit crazy. The shower and bathroom was nice and clean but there was only one. It was large enough for a family to use which is helpful when you have small children. The site... More

Lovely, well-maintained cabins. There's also a separate washroom: good if you need a dryer after a rainy hike! Cabin a bit on the small side, but well-appointed: even the coffee provided was good. (Please put some of those individual creamers in the fridge instead of powder!) Located just outside of the park, right near Wild Berry and Copper Kettle Restaurants.

I simply couldn't understand the high reviews of this place. We made the reservation due to what we saw on tripadvisor. Time to set the record straight. We arrived to find that the maple cabin is right next to a busy road (see photo) and over the septic tank. (Wonderful). Despite all other cabins having cars parked right next to... More

First of all, not all Guest reviews are fair or accurate, Time to set the record straight! This group was unhappy the moment they checked in, as they were deceitful about the number or people that were going to be staying in the cabin for the 3 nights they were here. Their invoice was adjusted accordingly upon check-in to reflect... More

First of all, we like staying with small local places like this. Its great to be able to meet the owners. There is something more satisfying about knowing that your money stays locally. This couldn't be more the case with the owners of Mounthaven. The owners James and Zandy are always on site, and tend to almost every aspect of... More

We were looking for a place to stay while we did some day hiking on Mount Rainier for a couple of days. Mounthaven was perfect for our needs. We (2 adults, 2 children: 11, 8) stayed in the Fir cabin. The beds in the lofts were kind of fun and the kids really liked them. The cabin had everything we... More

What a great place. We stayed in the Maple Cabin. Its a great cabin right next to a beautiful creek. The cabin was clean and comfortable with more than enough room for the 4 in our group. We could have stayed here forever. The place is very welcoming to families and the owners, James & Zandy, are great. They were... More
