My boyfriend and I needed some quiet alone time without media, wifi, anything. We were only able to spend one night there. We wanted to save a few $$ and cook. We upgraded to the Birch. It was super cute. It was raining buckets, but it was very quiet inside. The porch faces the woods, which is really nice. The... More

We stayed in the Birch Cabin at Mounthaven and is was very clean and cozy. It was very private with the porch facing the woods as stated on their website. The owners are lovely friendly people and made us feel welcome. The woodstove in the cabin worked really good. My husband, use to to our woodstove at home (which heats... More

Being a Seattle area resident for quite a few years, my family has taken almost anuall trips to the Coast. We decided to head down to Mt. rainer for a long weekend and found ourselves at Mounthaven Resort. We stayed in the Hemlock cain for two nights. The cabin was cute, comfortable, and my wife and I had more than... More

So Happy to be back. We stayed in the Alder Cabin this fall and couldn't wait to return. We were able to sneak away for a long weekend over the MLK holiday and once again stayed in the Alder Cabin. The owners James and Zandy, who are great btw, had the heat on, and a fire built ready to light... More

Cozy small R V park close to Mt. Rainier Park. Nothing fancy just space I between the trees. People are nice, and they got me an easy back in space. Real close to the park. Site was pretty level and utilities worked fine. There is also a couple of Resturaunt s fairly close with in driving distance.

While on a road trip with friends through WA and OR after disembarking a cruise in Seattle we all agreed we wanted to visit Mt Rainier National Park, staying in a cabin to fully enjoy the experience. After much searching, we decided on Mounthaven Resort as it was closest to the park entrance and started the booking process. Jamie was... More

Ok, look - if you're looking for a place that has big screen TV's with 1000 channels, gigabit WiFi, etc., save yourself the trouble and just go to a chain hotel that backs up against some trees. But if you're looking for a cozy, rustic environment in the woods than come here. While there was only one bathroom and shower... More

The Birch cabin was quite nice. It was smallish, but warm and tucked into the back of the park. There was a fire pit with a picnic table and two chairs, but we weren't able to use them because of the rain. The bed was a bit too small for out liking, and the toilet seemed to have some sort... More

I kind of have mixed feelings about this campground. We didnt experience the friendly owners and I think $3 a night extra per dog is a bit crazy. The shower and bathroom was nice and clean but there was only one. It was large enough for a family to use which is helpful when you have small children. The site... More

Lovely, well-maintained cabins. There's also a separate washroom: good if you need a dryer after a rainy hike! Cabin a bit on the small side, but well-appointed: even the coffee provided was good. (Please put some of those individual creamers in the fridge instead of powder!) Located just outside of the park, right near Wild Berry and Copper Kettle Restaurants.
