I stayed at Nisqually last night and thought it was a decent place in a very convenient location. Nothing special but also nothing bad. Rooms were spacious and quite clean. You will have to carry your bags upstairs, if you have a room there. more

I had to chuckle at the first review and the warning to "avoid at all costs" and also that the front desk clerk was rude and in the wrong business! I have stayed at enough mountain hotels to know that these places are NOT the Marriott and customer service is not their forte. These small local businesses know they have... more

Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. Even with a written and phone confirmation, I was treated like I was not at all welcome. The woman at the front desk (owner?) was rude, unhelpful, mean (to me as well as her employees), and in the wrong business. She claimed she would not honor my rate even though... more

My husband and I stayed one night at the Nisqually the beginning of October. We enjoyed the main lodge area and the fireplace. Our room was large, very clean and the bed comfortable. The inn keepers were very helpful and opened the outside hot tub just for us. Breakfast was ample with juice , pastries and coffee. When asked about... more

Stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Mt. Rainier Natl Park. Nice looking place in a beautiful setting. Located on the main road leading to the Longmire entrance to the park. It's a relatively small lodge with standard motel-style rooms. Rooms were clean. Yes, the footsteps on the second floor could be heard in my first floor... more

I had planned to stay at Nisqually Lodge for two nights but experienced the same issue than "BackroadJunkie" When we arrived, the lady at the front desk claimed that she did not have a reservation for us and that all rooms were taken. She then called their sister lodge (Cowlitz Lodge) and they seemed to have our reservation. We drove... more

This was a nice location to the park and a pretty setting, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was filling and the room was large. The price was good and we had wireless internet, in fact we liked almost everything, except for the noise. Our room was downstairs and it was noisy all night, we could even hear the person... more

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday 8/04/07 and loved it. We did however have a room on the second floor with private balcony. The room was large and clean as was the private bath. We didn't hear any noise over the night and the hotel had no vacancies. It was perfectly priced for the accommodations. more

The Nisqually Lodge has a nice location set back a bit from the road into Mt Rainier State Park, about 6 miles from the entrance. Rooms are large and well equipped, but a bit dark, Staff are friendly and informative, and there is a large lounge with a fireplace. It does not serve meals, other than a basic breakfast but... more

This small hotel only 5 miles from Mt. Rainier SW entrance is very clean, new, and highly recommended. The owners are very helpful and very friendly. We traveled with our two children (7 and 4) and found the hotel to be kid friendly. more
