5 stars because it does what it says on the tin. . . very clean, good size rooms, located as close to the gates of Rainier as your gonna get! Good Parking, Friendly Staff, Standard US Breakfast. . nothing else needed.

A warm and inviting inn to hang out in the lobby by the fire with the complementary glass of evening wine, visit with other guests or play games. The owners go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are work so hard to make it a relaxing place to be. The rooms are spacious, large fridge... More

The warm welcome given by Rick and Diane was just the start of a great stay at Nisqually Lodge. The fireplace and living room are welcoming, the hotel staff make conversation with you whenever they see you and mean it, they have a wine happy hour every night for two hours, and the rooms are huge and beds comfortable. Close... More

We stayed in a 1 Queen bed room. We requested and were given the top floor. Clean room, comfortable bed. One lounge chair. Table with two dining chairs. Microwave. Coffee in the lobby all day. No elevator but staff were very quick to offer help with bags. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pastries, cereals, fruit and juice in prepackaged... More

We were going to hike Mt. Rainier and were unable to stay in park due to lodges being closed. We were taking a chance on a place we didn't know. We generally stay at Marriotts or Sheratons as we are familiar with their quality. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel was very comfortable, nice room, friendly staff, very comfortable... Very pleasant staff welcomed us and explained hotel features as well as wine from 5:30 to 6:30 nightly. Rooms are spacious with fridge, micro, coffeemaker, and table and chairs. Very cozy lobby with nightly fire in the fireplace, coffee and tea in the lobby each morning. Breakfast is offered each morning, yogurts, cold cereals, waffles, scrambled eggs.

This hotel is a perfect blend of rustic (décor, roaring fire) and modern (flat screen tv, good wifi, new fridge and micro, Kuerig coffee maker). My grandson loved the water faucet in the bathroom. Beds were very comfy - this was just a perfect hotel. The free breakfast was good, pretty standard, but the free evening wine was quite good.

Found this little gem after visiting Mt. Rainier. Super clean, log cabin decor & thoroughly modern. The couple managing the hotel are wonderful, helpful & very kind - thought they were the owners for the care & pride they took in the lodge & their guests. Thanks for the complimentary wine, cozy fireplace & especially the recommendation to take the... More

We were visiting Mt. Rainier National Park at a time when the weather was cool and damp (to be expected, of course). There are not many accommodations in the area, and we were delighted to find ourselves at this comfortable and friendly place. From the moment we walked in -- with the fire roaring in the fireplace -- we felt... More

Room was clean; complimentary breakfast was quite good; pay laundry is provided for guests; no AT&T cell phone service in Ashford and no long distance service at the lodge except toll-free. The last item above caused me an immediate problem, because it meant I was out of touch with my family at home. The lady at the desk was pleasant,... More
