I was lucky to stay at the Rainier Valley Inn this year. Meegan (the manager) is an absolute joy to work with. I had a minor plumbing problem, which their plumber probably repaired very quickly, but rather than inconvenience me, Meegan moved me to a larger room at no extra charge. I'd give it five stars, but the wifi was... More

When we drove up, we were ready to cancel and leave. It was quite run down compared to all the other places along the highway. It ended up a nice big room, had a microwave and a coffee maker, but there was no TV or hair dryer. In the bathroom there was a container of soft soap on sink and... More

Our family of 3 booked this place because there was nothing else available on the weekend of the 4th of July. There is no fridge but we had a cooler because we were going camping. We had our little grill and we just cooked and relaxed! the lady who was in the office was really friendly and even offered us... More

My husband and I and our brand new exchange student from Thailand did not actually stay here. The room appeared very neat and clean, but was much too small to suit us. I did not see a shower, though that seems unlikely. Meegan, the office staff was great! She was very gracious and friendly about "backing us out" of the... More

First to give the place its due: It is clean and it is located quite close to the entrance of the National Park. But it is very basic for what it offers. There is no phone, TV, frig,or in-room wifi. (There is wifi if you sit in the office or outside in front of the office.) No breakfast or food... More

We spent one night here after our reservation was messed up by another lodge. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Made us feel way more better after dealing with a creepy guy. The room is a little bit old but very clean. And the price is reasonable. No fridge and microwave in the room.

Clean motel type rooms, note no microwave or fridge in the room so don't bring your supplies for breakfast. you can easily hear your neighbors as the walls don't absorb sound well. Good place to have a sleep and go off to Mt Rainier Park next morning.

Stayed for 2 nights prepareing for Rainier climb. Waited late during peak season to book and this was all avaliable. For the most part this was an average room and review but in Ashford Wa I had to give it a very good because tiny town location. Room was clean and bed was comfy. My little deck outside was nice... My wife and I decided to take a day trip to Mt. Rainier and decided to stay at The Rainier Overland. Convenient location as it is only 5 miles to the entrance of the Park. Room was basic, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. No frills, but if you need a quiet , convenient place to stay for a day... More

On arrival we were given a key to the first cabin. We went in and saw that it hadn't been cleaned from the night before. Went back to the office where they gave us a key to a different cabin, right next to a wooden fence. On the other side of the fence was the trailer where the family owning... More
