We stayed at the National Park Inn for just one night in June 2008. It was a great and relaxing experience. The historic hotel is surrounded by forests and offers a great view from the great Mount Rainier. You can easily sit on one of the chairs on the front porch all day long enjoying the view. Maybe you'll see... more

Visiting the National Inn at Longmire during the off season was one of the greatest treats of our life. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Tthe accomidations are so well maintained and cozy. The service was exceptional. Going to a place like this during the off season gives you a chance to recieve service from the best people. The food at... more

We stayed here one night on a recent trip to Mt. Rainier Natl Park. We had three rooms, each with private bathroom. Two had a bathtub only. One had a stand up shower only. The place was nice and clean, and there was in-room coffee. But don't come here for the accomodations. Come here for the location. It's in a... more

We stayed one night at the National Park Inn, in between two days of seeing Mount Rainier. We began our first day early at the Sunrise Visitor Center and hiked all day. When we were ready to leave around 3pm, I stopped in to get directions down to the Inn, expecting it to be an hour or two drive. Well,... more

Room is small. Hot water heater broke down and took a while to crank back up. Little window unit fan was OK but you had to open the window to turn it on. Bathroom was pretty good. Zero internet access. At $140 per night I would probably consider staying at one of the nearby off park cabins or B+B's given... more

This was a second choice to the Paradise Lodge (which remains closed until 2008). We were very pleasantly surprised. The room was typical of a historic lodge with smallish rooms with only a queen bed. Everything was in good working order, clean and well kept up. The bathrooms seemed a bit more updated than the sleeping area and were probably... more

I stayed at the National Park Inn unexpectedly for one night in late October. I expected the Inn to be full, and stopped by on a whim during my first trip to Mt. Rainier National Park. I was told the hotel was empty, since the weather had just turned cold and snow was expected. By that night, there were only... more

Stayed here for one night in late August. When we got to the park, it was very cloudy and Mt. Rainier was not even visible, even though we were basically on it. The hotel itself was close to many of the trails and activities you are looking for in this beautiful National Park. The Inn is actually quite small. I... more

Called NPI and secured a 'view suite' since that was the only room left. Checked in to 2 rooms, each about 8'x8' with scarcely room to walk around a double bed. The 'view' -- from a single desk chair -- was the roof of the gift shop from one room and the road from the other room - the one... more

The National Park Inn is at Longmire, about 20 minutes west of the Visitor Center at Paradise. It is open year-round. We stayed in early November. Our room with bath was simple, clean, quiet, and comfortable. There's a small living room with a fireplace on the main floor. During our visit, the restaurant's food was less than expected, but we... more
