Stayed at the hotel after a function and enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep in a well appointed hotel. Reception was freindly and helpful. Breakfast well presented with above average cooking. Close to M^ junction 13 so it is a useful place to stay if you want to avoid the chain hotels scattered around motorway junctions.

Thanks for your review, The Moat House is lucky to be in a village location, but just 3 minutes drive from J13 of the M6 motorway, so as you say we are different to many of the chain hotels scattered around motorway junctions.

Firstly when you negotiate the drive you can't help but be impressed by the look of the building, especially in the evening when fairy lights illuminate the trees!

I've not stayed at the Moat House for around 3 years so was quite looking forward to returning. The room was excellent, food good and lots of choice of beers at the bar.
