Lovely setting, room nice, lovely and warm (it was January!) All staff very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely walk through the woods which were close by. Breakfast was probably one of the best we've had while staying away. We booked this on a Wowcher deal which was a great price, definitely worth looking out for.

Every time Groupon has an offer for this hotel buy one. nestled in the woods above the dry ski slope in Sandford, the views are great. We take our dog and stay in one of the four lodges and she has the woods right on her doorstep. The lodges are accessible by car, so my disabled partner does not have... More

We went to Lyncombe Lodge a week before the Christmas 2014 and it was amazing. Cozy, relaxing and really quite place where you like to go and unwind. Its a bit tricky to get there, we took a train from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads and from there we hired a cab to the lodge. You can enjoy skiing there... More

Lovely location, cosy hotel and rooms. If you are looking for rustic country house this is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious evening meal and breakfast (shame they'd run out of hash browns) and had a cosy afternoon in the ski resort café next door. Slightly bemused by the hot/cold shower but didn't bother my boyfriend at all. Would stay... More

We had our wedding reception here 8th March 2014 and from the first visit to the big day everything was perfect, the food was amazing and all of our guests were catered for including special dietary requirements and wheelchair access, every member of staff went well out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. Don't over look Lyncombe lodge... More

I booked this hotel to follow a few days self catering for my partners birthday thinking it would offer us more comfort for his actual birthday. I thought I had booked a hotel not a chalet in the grounds. We were shown through the hotel into the grounds to one of four chalets. The room itself was lovely, clean and... More

Visited the hotel for a short break. Could not fault any of the facilities. The food in the evening was excellent with the menu offering a good variety for all courses. Breakfast had good alternatives from simple light cereals to full English although having enjoyed the meal the nights before I couldn't cope with the full English. Our room was... More

The hotel was extremely clean indeed. Very polite receptionist who doubled as a waiter. The room was spotless if a bit cold, the bathroom looked a bit dated but again was very clean. The food was fine but the dining room was very dark and to be honest a bit depressing, the coca cola I ordered on draft was awful,... More

Just returned from our third stay here in 18 months. The area is beautiful, very green, much of it unspoilt and rather wild, with villages straight out of a picture book, unexpected and breathtaking views of the sea, and wonderful Wells only a few miles away. High up on a lovely tree-covered hillside, this comfortable and very relaxing hotel is... More
