Hotel is set on hillside above a dry ski slope with great views across Somerset levels. The car park is up quite a steep slope to side of hotel so guess could cause concern for less able bodied guests? Hotel had nice decor and reception was welcoming and relaxed. Our room was large with a double and 2 single beds.... More

Stayed at this hotel recently whilst on business, and although the hotel is very old, the food more than makes up for the age of the hotel. Rooms are fairly old, but are clean and well provided for, including plenty of bathroom toiletries, and a large flat screen TV in the room, also Wi-Fi is provided free, top marks here.... More

Stayed 2 nights for a family wedding - idyllic location, rooms basic but faultless, small team of staff but could not do enough for us - wedding reception was superb, had full English breakfast but there was plenty of other choices- ideal for walking in the area - overall impressive venue

Not a good experience. Went with family, nine in total and very very disappointing. As it had been my recommendation, felt slightly embarrassed. Starter of salmon and prawns acceptable but pâté was served with two small pieces of toast. How to describe the main course is difficult. The Turkey was rolled around pork stuffing, served with 3 roast potatoes, and... More

My husband and I were staying here as a treat rather than our normal budget hotel chain. Lady on check on was pleasant and a room with a bath and no end on the bed ( to accommodate my tall husband ) had been fulfilled. However, the room (5) was really small, with an unattractive view of the carpark, and... More

From the time we booked via e-mail thanks to Nick & Enid then all checked in with Damien at the desk ... nothing has been out of place. Wonderful place, quiet, on a hill, deer behind the hotel, amazing food, comfy & spacious bedrooms, quiet bar area ... the list goes on. Not forgetting the dry ski slope that kept... More

Tucked out of the way in the woods on a hill side this lovely hotel is a little dated but very smart and one of the cleanest I have stayed in. The room was a good size and we were given fresh towels each day. All our needs were met while we stayed and the staff were excellent, friendly and... More
