We had our wedding reception here 8th March 2014 and from the first visit to the big day everything was perfect, the food was amazing and all of our guests were catered for including special dietary requirements and wheelchair access, every member of staff went well out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. Don't over look Lyncombe lodge... More

I booked this hotel to follow a few days self catering for my partners birthday thinking it would offer us more comfort for his actual birthday. I thought I had booked a hotel not a chalet in the grounds. We were shown through the hotel into the grounds to one of four chalets. The room itself was lovely, clean and... More

Visited the hotel for a short break. Could not fault any of the facilities. The food in the evening was excellent with the menu offering a good variety for all courses. Breakfast had good alternatives from simple light cereals to full English although having enjoyed the meal the nights before I couldn't cope with the full English. Our room was... More

The hotel was extremely clean indeed. Very polite receptionist who doubled as a waiter. The room was spotless if a bit cold, the bathroom looked a bit dated but again was very clean. The food was fine but the dining room was very dark and to be honest a bit depressing, the coca cola I ordered on draft was awful,... More

Just returned from our third stay here in 18 months. The area is beautiful, very green, much of it unspoilt and rather wild, with villages straight out of a picture book, unexpected and breathtaking views of the sea, and wonderful Wells only a few miles away. High up on a lovely tree-covered hillside, this comfortable and very relaxing hotel is... More

I must say straight away that this restaurant is our " GO TO " restaurant for a family Sunday Lunch. I don't know why I haven't written a review before as we have visited this establishment countless time over the years and it never disappoints. The staff are always great although like many such establishments they do seem to change... More

Stayed at this hotel in January 2014 on a 2 night KGB deal. Staff very welcoming and we stayed in one of the lodges for disabled facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and would have no hesitation in returning. Great break for me and my husband.

On the plus side, the breakfast was excellent. However, the accommodation itself was of low quality. We stayed in one of the chalets, with a very small double bed that was roughly equivalent to sleeping on a pile of bricks - in fact, I think the bricks may have been more comfortable. When sitting on the bed, you could feel... More

My wife & l were guests at the wedding and stayed over on the Saturday night. From the moment we arrived to the morning we departed we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel was completely booked with wedding guests on the Saturday. The staff were every efficient throughout the day and evening, with the bartender staying up with a... More

Booked for Sunday lunch on the basis of several recommendations. Pleasant location and atmosphere. Advertised Sunday lunch menu at £17.50 for 2 courses or 21.50 for 3 courses was said to be 'not available' and only more expensive a la carte lunch menu offered. Advertised 'resident pianist' was not there either and piped music stopped when the disc finished. The... More
