I took my boyfriend as a suprise birthday treat and we were completely charmed by the accommodation and service on offer at Captains House. We stayed in the Zoe room, yes it is small, but the bed is huge, you get a fulsome hospitality tray, and you can sit up in bed and watch the waves crash onto the beach.... more

The Captain's House is a fantastic B&B right on the shore in Cromer. We booked a weekend away at the Captain's House in January 2009 and were completely spoiled. The Loylie penthouse suite was beautifully decorated and had magnificent sea views from the bedroom and living room. There were wonderful luxurious touches in both our suite and the property itself... more

We stayed at The Captains House in June 2008. The Emilie suite was very luxurious for a B+B - a wonderful modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, beautiful sea views and an espresso machine. The owners are very friendly and breakfast is a pleasure - a chance to meet the other guests. One minor quibble - the "breakfast in room" option... more

The Captain’s House is an absolutely fantastic B&B situated right on the sea front with stunning views of the Cromer coastline. I have stayed at the Captain’s House twice, in the Emelia and Loylie rooms. Both were stylishly decorated with great attention to detail with luxurious touches such as Molton Brown toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine in each room.... more

Like (nearly) everyone else, we thought this was a fantastic find. Gillian and James were very friendly and helpful, without being 'in your face'. The food was excellent and the service cheerful and helpful. The rooms were all quite different and the tiniest bit quirky. We stayed in Daisy and (contra 'Lou'; see review below) found this charming, spacious, comfortable... more

We had heard good things about the Captain's House - and we were not disappointed. There were four of us and we stayed in the penthouse rooms which include a lounge, which was ideal for sharing with our friends and overlooks the sea. The afternoon tea on arrival was superb and everything that followed came up to the same high... more

The Captain's House is a an absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast with views out to see from most rooms. It's immaculately decorated in a lovely blend of modern and traditional styles, using cool blues and whites as well as gorgeous bedding, linen and furnishings. We stayed in the little suite at the top of the house which has 2 rooms... more

This beautiful hotel is pure unadulterated bliss...We stayed in the Emelia Suite, stunning view over the seafront, fabulously comfortable bed, beautifully decorated, exquisite bathroom...YES it really was that good. The whole house oozes charm and character, has a really friendly family feel to it and sits in the perfect location in Cromer. As all the previous reviewers have stated the breakfast is... more

Even before reaching the hotel, the owners were friendly and informative. On arrival the wonderfully placed hotel, was tastefully decorated and well though out. The room was perfect with soft furnishings and a stunning view. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever eaten, with fresh fruit and new things popping out of the kitchen every morning. You just... more
