The Cliftonville Hotel was a memorable and wonderful weekend. Because the hotel is dog friendly it meant we could share our fun weekend with our three dogs! They all received registration forms on arrival complete with their names, doggy blankets and food bowls and food! They loved it and we loved it too, ] Fantastic food in the Westcliffe Room... more

The staff were very accommodating, responding quickly to fix a problem with my room, and storing my bike for me. Eating at the hotel's Bistro, I felt like I was in a movie, they've kept the old-fashioned atmosphere so well. more

My partner and I decided on a quick trip away and luckily decided a visit to Cromer and the Norfolk coast would be a good idea. And so it was. We stayed in an executive room - in a turret in fact - with views of the sea, the pier and the immaculate (sunken gardens), which I'm sure will look... more

We stayed here for one night. The hotel overlooks a drab park and the North Sea and the building looks old and depressing (like most English buildings), but was quite nice inside. The reception was crisp and efficient similar to a job interview, with a no-nonsense receptionist. My single room was about 9 square metres, very small and clean but... more

We stayed for just one night at the Cliftonville and I paid extra for the excutive room and thought it was worth every penny. The room had fantastics views of the sea and the peir. The room was large and bright. The bathroom looked new and modern and all was very clean. The room was not modern, BUT nice -... more

I booked and paid for an executive room at this hotel, I will leave it to you to look at the picturesand decide wether I got value for money. It should be said that in general terms this is a nice hotel, the staff are very good and the food was exceptional. They remind you that the hotel is edwardian... more

The hotel constantly updates and upgrades rooms. This room is the last one to be redecorated and refurbished. This is now in the process of being done.

Wanted an out of season trip to the seaside and this was ideal. Lots of old features (from the Edwardian architecture to the 1988 People's Ffriend Annual!). Small but comfortable room, a little dated but what do you expect, it's the British seaside, not Beverly Hills. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to warm me up for the bracing North... more

This is difficult to review and will be full of contradictions. Their brochure says induldge in Edwardian elegance. Well it is Edwardian, but it is a very tired hotel, so it is difficult to indulge. The facts are, no sky, not even teletext, very very dated bedroom furniture including pine beds. The bathrooms are old, but not good old, just... more

Stayed here on August bank holiday weekend with my partner and young baby. Had a room in one of the turrets with beautiful views overlooking the sea (on three sides!!). As the hotel was busy we were warned that the room they had left might be quite small, however it just seemed the same size as any normal hotel room,... more

Stayed at the Cliftonville for 4 nights mid March. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite (Room 34), not our honeymoon but chose it because of the view from the room, and paid £75 each per night for dinner bed and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The hotel is very old fashioned, not a problem for us,... more
