We stayed in this hotel on a blustery January weekend so the residents lounge with Log Fire was lovely to come back to after a walk along the beach. Well located with easy walk into town, a lovely comfortable beautifully presented family run hotel. Our room was warm and comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We ate in the restaurant... More

Two nights in this lovely converted country house. We had a superior room, and boy, was the bathroom superior! Evening meal, breakfasts and especially the afternoon tea were very good. Friendly owner and good service from the staff. Unfortunately, they couldn't control the weather, which was torrential rain on the Saturday. Swimming pool was small but fine for a dip... More

Due to poor service at another establishment, we made a hurried search for a local restaurant and fortunately we got a table at The Grove. Our previous misfortune was quickly forgotten, due the excellent service, which was only surpassed by the food. My wife and I had mainly seafood, it was well presented but most importantly tasted great. The surroundings... More

Would highly recommend visiting The Grove. Our room, unfortunately just for one night on this occasion, was well appointed, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The pool was good and the staff really friendly and without a hint of pomposity which may have been expected given the surroundings. Dinner wasn't super cheap but was fantastic, particularly the local venison. Breakfast was... More

We stayed in one of the rooms outside of the main house. Very basic bathroom which needs a power shower and nowhere to sit and do your make up. I am by no means a clean freak but the beams were thick with dust and cobwebs and the outside of the property needed a good wash down as well. We... More

Have just returned from a stay at the Grove. It is a beautiful building with lots of original features. We were warmly welcomed and the staff were all very friendly. We had one of the family cabins in the grounds as all the bedrooms in the hotel were taken, but, it was really nice, spacious warm and well kept. Comfortable... More

I only had the chance for a one night stay at this lovely location but was well worth it. Arrived late on a windy night after an appalling journey to find a great welcome, excellent meal and warm cosy room. Sad I did not have time to take the walks to the cliffs and beyond.

First time visit to Cromer. After a busy day of working decided to have dinner in the hotel. Nobody expects to pay £21 for rib eye steak (cold firstly)for a dinner and complain about how terrible it was. I was so disappointed, even had to ask for mustard to help me eat it and still yet. The dinning room was... More

Hello Linda Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I think your sentence half-way down the review says it all really - all you needed to do was to let us know that you weren't happy with the steak and of course we would have replaced it immediately. Like all kitchens we do make mistakes from time to... More

Hello Archie Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review. The company owl is an old favourite and he's great to hear hooting away in the horse chestnut tree! Please do come back and see us soon. Best wishes Richard More
