It is a great place to stop and have a light bar lunch overlooking the sea. it has a quaint, old fashioned atmosphere, service efficient and friendly and not expensive as you might think! I would like to stay the night on my next visit.

We were staying in Cromer for the weekend and popped in for afternoon which they were advertising. Afte standing looking at the receptionists for a few minutes we asked if we could have afternoon tea to be told not right now as they were busy ... Their dining areas were empty! We asked if we could go through to the... More

My Husband and I had never visited Cromer. We stayed at this hotel just one night. Clearly it was once a very grand property, now not so much. The location is absolutely fantastic. The room we had (39) was directly facing the Pier and was huge. However, the bathroom was tiny and housed an extraordinarily noisy extraction fan. The towels... More

Went to this hotel for lunch on Saturday just gone. there were six of us walked in and was just stared at by the receptionist. Carried on to the bar area found a great seat over looking the sea, we all started to take coats of as we thought (even though first impression was quite frosty) nice place. Got menus... More

Great hotel on the sea front with great views of the pier, the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The menu is varied and there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Only downside is it could do with a bit of paint here and there and a bit more attention to the general cleaning of the... More

The view from our room was amazing and we looked straight down the pier. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Free parking right outside was also a great asset. Breakfast had a good choice of options and was served quickly and hot! Reception and communal areas are well presented and benefit from free wifi. The bedroom was a little... More

Fabulous old hotel (1830s) right on the cold and blustery sea front opposite the pier, yet right in town. Opulent foyer with stained glass windows, crotchety but well-meaning reception staff, frequented by OAP coach tours, small but clean rooms (thumbs down on bed comfort) with all facilities where you can sleep with the window open at night and hear the... We went to the Hotel de Paris out of curiosity for its famed history; we thought that we might have some lunch and drink there whilst we wrote some postcards. At 3 minutes to 2pm we went to the bar and asked if we could order some food. They were closed for food! The sign outside said clearly that lunch... More

We visited this hotel twice, just for drinks in the evening. I would say avoid their in house coke, stick to Pepsi. They do have a great games room with pool, darts and table tennis. Place is beautiful, but faded, now only 2 star. Would have bbc great in its day. Wonderful facade.

Fantastic holiday, food great, staff fantastic and the trips superb. The mattress in our room had seen better days (the latter of them probably in a skip) joking really. We did not complain because if you do and it is not rectified it eats away at you and spoils the rest of the holiday. It did not spoil our holiday and... More
