We chose this hotel because it’s near the sea front and felt it was also a reasonable price, and (most importantly!) because it has a car park. We asked for a room with a sea view if available at the same price and got one, and this definitely enhanced our stay. The room itself was smaller than expected but the... More

Another visit to one of our favourite mini break hotels. Room 7 was as always a pleasure. Lovely lounge in the bath looking out to sea with so glass of vino. Weather was great so we could sit out on the balcony. Why go anywhere else. All the staff were wonderful as always. Hopefully we will be back for a... More

Stayed in room 6 partial seaview, but it did have a nice 2 seat sofa to sit on and look out. As previously mentioned the taps turn the wrong way.....how bizarre. Being on the first floor, we were privy to a noisy room directly above, so if you want quiet go higher. Free car parking - this is a bonus... More

Back to the Red Lion again in August. We had a clean but very small room with lovely views of the sea and the pier. Just what we wanted.Overwhelmed, however, by a vast number of cushions and pillows that took up most of the space in the room. A very expensive and cheeky stuffed lion toy was put on our... More

Went to Cromer for our usual four weeks holiday and as my daughter & her husband were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary we decided to have a meal at the Red Lion Hotel. Having ordered drinks and obtained a menu we sat and waited and waited for about 20 minutes and at last I decided to attract someones attention then... More

Very clean comfortable room on second floor with sea view Excellent location in centre of Cromer with car parking Very lively pub used by locals with a varied selection of local ales but residents have to compete for tables and seating even if they want to dine in.On the sunday evening we were very fortunate to get the last seating... Ventured back to Cromer after experiencing the full horror of the plumbing in the Wellington earlier in the year. The Red Lion is worth the journey! This is a pub which attracts classier clientele, and the rooms are fantastic. Modern, bright, spacious and extremely clean. The staff are attentive and could not do enough for us. The food is gourmet... More

sitting on the balcony of my delux suite, even as the evening drew in and the night fell over the gentle waves I was blown away by the over welming stench of fried food wafting from the busy pub below, even when I went inside to get away from the smell and still wanting to listen to the rolling of the... It is disappointing to read such a poor review and we are sorry you did not enjoy your experience with us. The mattress is of good quality but not to your liking for which we can only apologise. With regards to the stench it is a problem we have not encountered or which has been brought to our attention but... More

Unfortunately we were allocated a room on the second floor, yes we had a super seaview, very large window but both my wife and I are over 80, our home is a bungalow and two flights of stairs were not to our liking. Reception staff were polite but were unable to offer us anything on the first floor. Anyone who... More
