We stayed at the Red Lion for one night on the 19th October 2014 & would highly recommend this hotel. We arrived late afternoon & had a parking space reserved for us..A nice touch. Check in was quick the staff were very efficient & polite. We were advised that our room had been upgraded & the room we were given... More

We had a two night out of season stay at the Red Lion in a superior room. The room was spotless and luxurious with some lovely extras such as bath robes. Plenty of storage space and even space to put away toilet bags in the bathroom. Meals can be taken in the lounge, bar or dining room - we loved... More

We enjoyed the last weekend in Cromer, mainly because of the hospitality of the Red Lion. We usually camp just outside so know the town well but this was a birthday treat. The location of the Red Lion is great for the beach (5 mins) and town shops (5 mins) and our old dog was made to feel like a... More

Stayed here for two nights in a superior room with sea view. Room was lovely, comfy bed, spacious and well furnished. The breakfast was very good indeed, good choice and well cooked. Lots of homemade preserves and even the yoghurt was homemade. Fab. The bar downstairs was very popular, had good selection of beers and the food was of a... More

Spent two nights in Cromer after a tour along the north Norfolk coast. We had a room on the second floor, and as there is no lift this may not be the best place for those have a problem with stairs. The room was sea facing, although there was scaffolding outside the building when we stayed. However, we were aware... More

Beautifully placed hotel and managed to get a seaveiw room but the hotel was being revamped and was surrounded by scaffolding which spoiled the view although they did discount a little! Had dinner and breakfast in the hotel which was fabulous.

Stayed here in late September on a golfing holiday to North Norfolk. Despite the hotel being renovated outside and scaffolding cladding the front the room was very good and the building work did not spoil our enjoyment. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the bar was busy enough to feel a great atmosphere without being too noisy or... More

Never did get to stay here, had booked more than 6 weeks in advance. Turned up, having booked best room (according to T/A reviewers) room 7,however the whole of the sea view front of the hotel was covered in scaffolding with builders working on it. The check in person said that we should have been contacted about the building work.... More

We had the old billiard room with roll top bath en suite and oodles of space. The room feels like luxury but is (at the end of the season) in need of a little renovation, nothing serious but the chaise lounge had a broken leg and the pictures were a rather odd mix - nothing major but these were minus... The good things--friendly and helpful staff; clean and recently modernised bedrooms and bathrooms; excellent food in substantial quantities; a wide and ever-changing range of local beers; parking for residents. Entirely as it should be, so well done! Small faults. The bar area is obviously intended to be a pub. Fine, but why allow table reservations in a pub? This just... More
