We stayed in the family room with our two children. The room was lovely, very clean with comfortable beds, and a generous tea tray complete with biscuits. The bathroom had lovely complimentary toiletries from The White Company, and massive soft fluffy bath towels. We all enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the Spring.

My husband booked us a night at Highfield as he wanted to visit The Shuttleworth Collection on a Saturday that included night flying. As I usually book our accommodation I was a little apprehensive. Our warm greeting on arrival assured me I should not have been worried. Our room was perfection, comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was exactly what we both... More

We loved everything about this b&b. From the quiet location to the beautifully decorated rooms to the home made marmalade. Flexible breakfast menu with the full English as the jewel in the crown. We also got great advice on local gastro pubs and things to do and see.

At the peak of our summer heatwave we found this perfect hideaway to escape the heat and husstle of the wedding we had to attend. You wouldnt believe it is a stone's throw from the busy A1 as it is serene and at one with nauture. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was what you would expect of... More

I stayed here while I was on a 3 day training course and I can highly recommend it for business trips or similar. I was given a choice of rooms, the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I couldn't hear the A1 which was close by. The breakfast was lovely and the owners were very friendly. The only downside... More

Six of us stayed for one night on the 12 July 2014, although we were attending a very sad occasion in the area, the setting was tranquil and the proprietors very accommodating/welcoming, would have loved to stay longer.

I stayed here as the reviews suggested that it would be a comfortable place to stay, sadly this did not prove to be the case. The problem is down to the fact that the interior dividing walls offer no sound insulation. I therefore spent my time listening to the person in the next room including the sound of them stamping... Thank you for your positive feedback about the B+B room, shower room and breakfast. I was made aware that you were very sensitive to noise upon your arrival and I’m sorry you were so disappointed with us. We have had no other complaints regarding this, but please be reassured that we do take our guests comfort very seriously and we... More

I used to stay here a lot for work. Unfortunately no lie ins for me! However, I found the owners very welcoming. The rooms spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were also great. Very nicely cooked english breakfasts. Highly recommended. One note of caution, the turn off from the A1 is very sudden. Pay attention for the sign or... More

Warm, personal service. We have a very active 3 year old and the owner always makes us feel welcome! The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfasts are fantastic! Just keep a close eye for the turning for the drive as you are nearly upon it before you see it. Highly recommend to anyone.

Have just returned from a second visit to Highfield Farm with friends. What a lovely place..... Anne-Marie is a wonderful host, the rooms are spotless and very spacious, there is a lovely large lounge and the breakfast is excellent. Although the accommodation is situated very close to the A1, you cannot hear the traffic noise at all. I can wholeheartedly... More
