We booked on short notice for three nights for 4 of us (two children of 11&13 - both new to skiing) The drive was 3.5 hours from Istanbul, and while a bit hairy at the end, we arrived safely with the help of some chains (50tl to put on, roadside) The welcome was warm and the rooms spacious and contemporary.... We stayed for the weekend here. It's the first ski resort hotel I have stayed in in Turkey. I was very impressed by the high quality standard of the design and attention to detail. The hotel is a great combination of a traditional chalet feel and modern hotel. We were upgraded to one of the suites which was fabulous. The... More

This is THE one and only place to stay if skiing in Turkey. Of course the slopes in all of Turkey are not very long, nothing to compare to slopes in Europe or in the US. However the hotels are unfortunately all run down/mediocre and not very luxurious or even tasteful. This is due to the fact that the season... More

After having good experience at Golden Key Bordubet hotel , we did not even hesitate for a second to book at Kartalkaya for Winter break . Hospitality of Kudret and Ebru made us again feel as we were at home. Room was very comfortable and decorated tastefully , catering very satisfactory and all supported by a spa where we had... More

I am not into skiing but my daughters decided that they should be. Resistance did not work with them. With the discovery of the presence of Golden Key in Kartalkaya, we saw that you can actually enjoy a mountain hotel in Turkey. Most if not all of the mountain hotels are dumps compared to Golden Key. Testosterone spraying skiers and... More

it is a good mountain hotel, very cozy. The lobby has a really nice ambiance. It provides breakfast and dinner along with the room rate. the quality of drinks are not so good though, the hot chocolate and tea tastes like plain water. The food was good overall, they had a lot of option. The dinner they provided has variety... More

We have been to most of the mountain hotels in Turkey - unfortunately neither design nor service are important to hotel owners. As the season for skiing is short you are lucky enough as a guest to get a room - and you are treated as such - not in this hotel though. The design is beautiful, every little detail... More

Goldenkey's Kartalkaya hotel is beautiful: very tastefully designed rooms and public spaces, good restaurant and wonderful spa (including hot tub!). Also, the service is great, from check-in to check-out. The prices include breakfast and dinner, but exclude the drinks. No coincidence maybe that those drinks are quite expensive (TL6 for a bottle of water, TL12 for a small glass of... More
