Guess what I was hearing all day? Aside from the loud guest laughter, there were variety chirps of birds - all exquisite rhythms of nature. Landscaped with seemingly foreign flora, Punta Isla offers an interesting charm. The resort is located on the cliff south of Lake Sebu so most of its rooms feature a panoramic view of the lake. I... It took us the hours to get here on narrow winding road. The first time we caught and ate or fish on the lake, very relaxing place on our next trip we sat on the hill looking down on the lake. This is an all day trip but well worth it, enjoy:)

We went here to try their 50 ways of cooking tilapia and view Lake Sebu via a boat ride. We had a good view of the lake from the cabana where we took our lunch. They also offer a boat ride tour, but we decided to forego as we still have to see the 7 falls which is a bit... More

I'm not being fussy but a particular traveller when it comes to atmosphere and staff. It all started with checking in. Confusion or miscommunication among staff led to annoying and improper conversations at the their desk in front of us as guest, which is not a good thing at all. We had the room but was way too noisy. I... More

When in Lake Sebu, try the different dishes of the bountiful tilapia (St Peter's Fish). The resort prides itself with 50 tilapia dishes! To complete the Lake Sebu experience, dine in the floating restaurant and be immersed in the T'boli culture with a show from the indigenous group. Do not miss the boat tour of Lake Sebu, too. Now the... More

We did not stay in the resort but ate in its restaurant. It is located by the lake and has small dining huts covered with nice plants. You can choose to eat in the floating restaurant on the lake for an additional P150 cover charge. We ordered the different "tilapia" dishes--grilled, popped (chicharon with fish crackers), and fried with batter.... More

Punta Isla was reportedly the most popular inn around Lake Sebu so we decided to check it out. We were really disappointed because the room they were trying to give us seemed stuffy and hot, with only one ceiling fan. Villa Estancia was definitely the better option. Since we were no longer planning to stay, we just decided to eat... More

I got there for an overnight stay in there T'boli rooms because I was a solo traveller and I tell you it hasn't been a good night for me. The rooms needs a lot of improvement because it is so old, dusty and creepy and it doesn't even have a door knob to lock your room instead it has a... More

I am from Austria but have a lot of travel experience in Asia and I don't mind basic accomodation. But what some people call the best resort at Lake Sebu is really not to my taste.I stayed there only 2 nights and that was enough. The resort has a wonderful garden with a spectacular view on the lake, but the... More
