Period house located in the heart of Denia, Hotel Chamarel is decorated with tasteful antiques and surrealist paintings, it will blow you away. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a view into the lovely internal garden. Breakfast is served outside and it consists of coffee, orange juice and a croissant. Not much but the atmosphere will make... More

As soon as we walked through the door, we were delighted and we continued to be delighted during our 6 night stay. An absolutely charming place, full of authentic Spanish character. Staff (seemingly all female and a perfect team) were so helpful and friendly going out of their way to make everything just right for us. They were very tolerant... More

I've just returned from a 5 day yoga break which was based in this lovely old hotel in the old town. The hotel is full of character, bedrooms are all different, I was in 203 which overlooked the narrow street and it was charming. The owner David was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him and... More

I loved staying at this hotel. I was attending a 5 night stay on a Yoga Retreat and this hotel was perfect for that. It is full of character and charm with a relaxing ambience. The staff could not have been more attentive and accommodated our needs very well. The location of this hotel is perfect too - a short... More

Visited in March having read reviews, good and bad amounting to the same thing. Very centrally located. Courtyard would be an oasis in hot weather. Our room had access to a shared balcony above the courtyard where it was possible to look into the foliage. It sloped a little, but a pleasant place to sit. Aircon system in room doubles... More

Amusingly eccentric hotel with a pervading atmosphere of quiet, sometimes gloomy, calm. The art is certainly intriguing, the furniture is interesting, the staff are friendly. It is like a private home where the owners keep out of the way and let you do what you want. Avoid the rooms on the street (not because of any noise but because, as... More

My partner and I spent four days in Denia at this interesting hotel. The female staff are not particularly friendly maybe being English and the difficulties with the language but we certainly didn't feel at ease. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated. (Heating could've come on a little earlier). Not so keen on sheets & blankets and it... More

Our second stay in Denia and this time we opted for a little more luxury. The Chamarel was just what was needed...large comfortable bed with quirky, stylish bedroom. The bath in the bathroom was huge and the room looked to have been newly decorated with a gorgeous antique vanity basin and massive mirror. The breakfast area was charming and the... More

We spent a week at this hotel, and found it to be a relaxing charming hotel. Its located in a small pedestrian street, one street away from many good tapas restaurants, and a gentle stroll into other areas of town with some bars or the main shopping area. We arrived early, as we had a stupidly early flight! but this... More
