It was so depressing to stay here at Sycamore cabin. Not the idyllic, bucolic setting I expected from the website's description. No decor, the furniture inside was so bad we used our camping chairs indoors and outdoors. The beds were scary dirty and also squeeky. I guess it's a step up from camping since there is a bathroom, tub shower, full kitchen. We had no water unfortunately due to a problem with pressure and the forest service notified us about that. We decided to go anyway. We brought lots of water, but that did not help with the toilet issue. The journal in the cabin documents lots of problems with water at the cabin.
The outdoors: the views are ok, not great, some traffic on the road in front of the cabin. Lots of "no trespassing" signs around the area, so not a lot of hiking as I expected. The chain link fence around the cabin also detracts from the experience. The creek in the back of the cabin is not accessible unless you walk around a long...
