To start with the good part: the hotel is well located, within the city walls. So, most of the interesting things are at walking distance. Unfortunately, there are not many more good things to list. In general, the hotel gives the impression that it would urgently need renovation, in terms of facilities and services. Although the rooms are spacey, they... More

Location was walking distance to everywhere, it's at the center of Lugo. I would consider staying there again. Church of our Lad of Mt. Carmel was just at the back of the hotel. We were a family of fourteen doing the pilgrimage to the Camino de Santiago de Compostela which started in Sarria . I was a great experience and a... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights during our walk of the Camino. Excellent location - one of the few hotels inside the old city walls. Nice lobby and clean rooms. The hallways were on motion sensor lights, so you exited the elevator into pitch darkness until you walk several steps out of the elevator. The lights went on to... More

While nicely located near the Plaza Mayor, it was difficult to find because of its location on a mostly pedestrian area. Luckily, we arrived on a quiet Sunday afternoon and, after walking to the hotel to get directions, we were able to navigate the narrow streets to the front door without encountering too many pedestrians! We only stayed one night,... More

Next to Plaza Mayor, a bit complicated to drive up to drop luggage but manageable. Parking very nearby, hotel provides discount voucher. Room had very good lighting, WiFi on each floor though ours was a bit weak(our room was at the end of the hall #421). Air conditioning was very strong and needed (it got to 38C). Tapas bars nearby... We spent four nights at the Mendez Nuñez Hotel in Lugo and we were pleased with our stay. Staff were affable and polite from the moment the reservation was made. The place is clean and comfortable, and our room had a spacious balcony with fantastic views of Lugo and beyond. I would also recommend the top-floor cafeteria with a fantastic... More

Our allocated room was freshly presented, we slept well and had only a few steps to be in heart of the city. We do not expect a room with a view on a city break so we were unsurprised by the rear of buildings visible when we peered through the voille drapes. Everything inside was fine, although the wifi was... More

Prize/quality ratio is right , workers are helpful and location is wonderful to visit Lugo. But they should improve some issues: Breakfast, in my opinion is insufficient for 4 star hotel. Rooms, we have been in a room for 3 (2 adults and 1 boy) with 3 small Beds why not a King bed with another small one?...and some details... More

I was walking the Camino de Santiago with a group and I was disappointed to see we would be staying for two nights in the city of Lugo. I had hoped for all nights to be in bucolic surroundings. I couldn't have been more wrong. This hotel was a delight. Clean, convenient, sooo comforatable, with lovely balconies, and a great... More

The hotel is located on a pedestrian street so for the new arrivals it is difficult to lug your suitcases down several blocks in order to reach the entrance to the hotel. Reception was wonderful and efficient but the room was very much like staying in a college dormitory. It lacked style and definitely needed up dating.
