Beautiful hotel building with lots of antique objects decorating the halls, bar and entree. Located just inside the roman city wall, it is just a few steps away from the historic town center with lots of wonderful bars. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was astounding: there were at least 15 different kinds of local cheeses and lots of... More

This hotel is inside the city walls, and therefore complicated to get to. But we made it without any detours because of the excellent instructions the manager sent to us as soon as we made the booking. The room was comfortable but eccentrically decorated, as was the rest of the establishment...it's clearly a small, family-run hotel. Although the breakfast did... More

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our driving tour of Cantabria/Asturias. We chose Lugo as a base to visit Santiago de Compostella. Outside of the old walls of Lugo is a sprawling industrial town. Inside the walls is a real trip back in time with narrow streets, bustling squares, bars & restaurants. Pazo de Orban is somewhat of... More

We just booked on spec and the lady on the phone was very nice and sent me an email as to how to get there as it is inside the old town (the ONLY place you want to be. We decided to get the superior room (they only have 12 rooms) and it was terrific. Comfy very large bed, great... More

The place is good, but not worth for a 4- stars. The room (we were given #14) was too small, though the toilet was correct and clean. They announce the hotel as familiar so you are not expected to receive service 24h and you will not find anybody to help during the night. We will come back to Lugo and... More

This is a small family modern hotel that was a palace before. It contains lot of antiques that gives a nice atmosphere. His location is next to the Roman Wall and what is more important, it has a car park beside (charge). Room is nice and clean. Breakfast was standard. Service was excellent and very helpful. We found this hotel... More

This hotel, which is also known as Hotel Monumento Pazo de Orban, is housed in a beautiful building right near the city wall. Before we arrived, they provided detailed information about how to reach the hotel and we found this to be invaluable. They have a private carpark for which you have to pay a daily rate but we thought... More

We stayed in Lugo for one night at this small, family run hotel full of Roman memorabilia and other eclectic antiques and collectibles. It was set right next to the old Roman walls encircling the old town of Lugo. The hotel itself was okay although the room was quite basic. But, the noise level was just unacceptable as it was... We walked El Camino Francais, and while in Finisterre, we met Pilgrims that we had met on "The Way". They told us that they had taken a wrong turn and ended up in Lugo Spain. After listening to their glowing description, we decided to include Lugo in our after Pilgrimage tour of Spain. We booked the Pazo de Orban from... More

This converted palace just inside the Lugo Roman wall is a unique and eclectic refuge. The hotel is generously decorated with a mixture of antiques, curios and collectibles making a visit here a truly unique experience. We have stayed at Pazo de Orban several times and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, they are proud of their hotel... More
