Easy to find. Fantastic views of the mountain. Large room. Bar prices good and food in restaurant very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to use the pool. Short walk into Hervas itself

We stayed in the Hospederia for two nights and have a relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are of a good size and the bed is good and comfortable. Breakfast is really nice, make sure you try the Spanish Potato Tortilla , they are delicious. We had dinner in the Hosperedia and it was very good, good local produce but the... More

We arrived in a downpour on Christmas Eve and the famous hospederia hospitality was in full flow! And the 26 bedroom hotel was all for us,.......the only guests! We had booked media pension and the evening meal was a special 6 course dinner and the only diners, us! And we can happily report that the meal was excellent. The young... More

Beautiful old convent with lovely cloisters. Disappointed with the room as it was dark and dingy. There was a crack down one wall and laminate was peeling off the skirting boards. One tiny window, as befits an old convent - all the more reason to have decent lighting. Out of 6 lightbulbs in the room 4 did not work, leaving... More

Very nice buiding and original refurbishment. Staff is friendly but the breakfast service is really poor, and they dont seem to keep up with their broken lightbulbs and spiderwebs growing in the corners. It could be a great property if managed a bit better.

As with other reviewers we stayed here en route from the south of Portugal to catch the ferry at Santander. The location is perfect with plenty of secure parking and only a few miles off the main road. The town of Hervas is well worth a visit with its narrow winding streets and old Jewish quarter. The building itself, an... More

Travelling through Spain to catch a ferry in Santander friends recommended we stop of for an overnight in this Hospideria. They were so right. It has been tastefully restored, the staff were very helpful, particularly Manuel the waiter and barman. We booked dinner in the price and were we glad we did. It was superb, one of the best after... Brilliant stopover if you're motoring from southern Spain up to the northern ports - easy to get to from the motorway, but not too close; plenty of parking; huge room; all facilities; good restaurant -but it's more than that. The building and its stylish renovation is lovely; there's a nice swimming pool with views up to the nearby high hills... More

Pleasant and comfortable room. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Beautifull building with easy access to the village center, the judaic quarter, and the hillside for some strenuous hiking. Food and wine is top in the atmospheric restaurant.

Hospederías de Extremadura is a chain of hotels in Extremadura, in about the same style as Paradores de Turismo nationwide for Spain, i.e. hotels housed in renovated old building or purpose built regional style mansions. This was the 4th hospedería de Extremadura we visited, in a former convent, and the last renovation managed to combine very well the old building... More
