not many places to sleep in between LA and LV so we stayed in Barstow. Many trucks around so a bit noisy. The hotel is okay. The pool was not working when we were there. The rooms smell so much like cigarette even though they are no smoking. Good complimentary breakfast really friendly staff. Nice restaurant down the road really... more

Room (mattress, fittings, bath etc) was good, though curtains were inadequate for blocking light coming in throughout the night. The continental breakfast was pretty limited though. TV reception was awful and the front desk was unable to help. Our biggest complaint was with the young lady at reception ('Sentia or Senita or some such name) - she was unfriendly and... more

I was pleasantly surprised by this Red Roof Inn in Barstow, which was recently re-branded to a Days Inn. When Days Inn took over they must have renovated the interiors and put in new beds because while the exterior of this hotel looks like a typical interstate-side hotel, the interior of the rooms is extremely modern and new. I had... more

Because this is a less expensive hotel, you get a bit of what you pay for -- but it's a decent place to stay overnight. The rooms are all entered from the outside so we requested one that didn't face the highway. There was also an outdoor pool (with a lounge chair at the bottom of it!). The beds were... more

My son and I arrived aroung 1am or later. after traveling 1500 miles. First we were greeted by what reminded me of a High School gang member, very rude young man. By 7:30am we realized we were robbed!!! The rude guy didnt care. Said they had NO SECURITY cameras or guards, like the other Red Roofs I've stayed in did.... more

Pool and hot tub were opened last week. I asked if the pool was heated and the host had no idea, but raved about the hot tub. The pool was dirty. The hot tub was cold, so I tried to soak in the bath tub, the stopper didn't work. The bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine. The only nice... more

The room was clean and the size is ok. However, the guy at the check-in was not very friendly. The pool had been closed down by some authority a week ago due to "health hazards". The coin laundry room was very dirty. A basic place to spend a night, no more, no less. more

I would not recommend the Red Roof Inn in Barstow. My daughter and I were very unhappy with the very small pool. Not only was the pool small, it seemed to accomodate the local residents of Barstow. Upon checking in, I noticed a pick-up truck park near the pool and a group of teenagers get out of the truck and... more

Having just returned from a week touring, I would like to recommend the Red Roof Inn, Barstow for anyone looking for a clean well equiped budget hotel room. We arrived late in the evening and had requested a quiet room as we had just had a 10 hour flight and a two hour drive. Guess what - we actually had... more
