Spent many lovely times at this very beautiful and tastefully restored hotel. Locations and view are just so magical. But sadly standards are slipping and the magic is going. The food which has been impeccable at times is now very basic and nit good value for money. The additional extras that made it special and a cut above the rest... More

If you are looking for that romantic stay, where the service is excellent and the food divine then you need look no further. The Castell has been beautifully restored by the current owners and offers a little bit of something special away from the hustle and bustle of modern life whilst maintaining the little luxuries we all crave. There are... More

A fabulous two-night stay as part of a walking tour. We had booked a suite -- the view across the Emporda is magnificent and the decor throughout the hotel is exceptional -- tasteful and modern. The restaurant staff were marvelous. In such a magnificent setting they are so friendly, funny and warm. This was a very special treat that we... More

In short this is a Dutch owned wedding venue. It was full of Dutch, of all persuasions, who were either about to have their wedding there or checking it out for later. I thought we and one other couple were actual hotel guests going there for a hotel experience because TA writes it up so well. Ever been at an... More

We stayed at Castell d'Emporda for friend's wedding and enjoyed a perfect weekend. The food was delicious, the service very warm, the rooms spacious and charming (we stayed in the old part), the Castell and the small village behind are stunning and a perfect setting for a romantic wedding. I can also recommend a visit to the village La Bispal... More

Absolutely wonderful experience at this gorgeous hotel, once a 13th century castle. The grounds, gardens are lovely, with olive trees and soothing fountains. The castle was renovated impeccably, maintaining its medieval character, while offering 21st century comforts. We stayed in one of the rooms in the newer section of the hotel -- the room/suite was spacious (with king size bed... More

We stayed here for two nights while on a bike trip through Catalonia. The grounds and the hotel itself were a constant source of discovery and enchantment. We both were fascinated by the architectural and sculptural touches which seemingly were never ending. The staff was helpful and patient with me as I tried to book some reservations for the following... More

I stayed in the Hotel Castell d'Emporda for two nights in June 2014 and absolutely loved it. The property so beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the staff very helpful. Rarely have I enjoyed a hotel stay as much as my two nights here. I highly recommend it.

Very seldom, perhaps once in a lifetime can one have the priviledge of feeling that serendipity is not just a word. The thought came to my mind as I was watching a polichrome sunset leaning with a glass of champagne on the wide terrace of my castle ( which this hotel really is). Wish I had discovered it on my... Friendly staff (all speak very well English and are very helpful!), great terras and views, lovely food, comfortable, quiet and clean rooms. Lots of interesting places to visit in the area (Dali-country!). Third visit and never a disappointment. Love this beautifully styled castle, its owners and the gorgeous countryside.
