Stayed in this hotel during the Easter break and overall had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is beautifully located on a rocky headland amidst pinewoods commanding stunning views over the cove of Aiguablava and the very attractive village of Fornells to one side, and equally attractive views of the open sea to the other. Be sure when you have made... More

We spent four nights in this Parador. We had a room facing the Mediterranean. With a balcony. What a spectacular view. Beautiful colorful rock coming out of the sea to the height of the Parador. On the other side is the bay with a beach. There are steps from the Parador leading to the beach. We spent one entire day... More

I booked this parador for a 3 night stay when we were touring France and Spain for our 40th Wedding Anniversary, the stay at this parador should have been the hightlight of our trip, I booked a junior suite from an offer sent by the Paradors and made a request for a room with a balcony, I made my booking... Great service and rooms and the sea views are breathtaking. Great outdoor tables and bar service. But pls don't feed potato chips (crisps) to the feral cat. Parador restaurants tend to be on the expensive side and you a drive for a few miles into town is worthwhile. Parking can get a little tight but is manageable. This is a... More

Stayed twice in March & April 15 - Deluxe room - Almost perfect. View from rooms across the sea early morning is romantic and sleep quality 100%. Breakfast is one of the best I have had in many Parador's I have visited over 30 years. Excellent dinner and wines are good and priced well. Staff all very nice and will... More

We stayed three nights and very much enjoyed the Parador. Mind you, it's not the usual historical monument remade in a luxury hotel. Rather, it was made new. The only real negatives were that the hotel is no longer new and is starting to get a bit old and worn. The AC in our room did not really work, although... More

Over the past 5 years we have stayed in numerous Paradors. This one ranks very high. Its location is very special but it is the food that stood out as well above Parador par. Whether it is the fact that so many French stay here and demand quality, their luck with the chef or whatever, we ate in all three... More

We went once more to this hotel in April and had a fantasic stay.We were made especially welcome by the whole staff who greeted us like old friiends. The rooms are vast, with wide balconies and large bathrooms. It is not a historic building but with its exceptional situation it is rather unique. The buffet breakfasts are plentiful and you can even order extras.At... Among the 8 Paradores visited, we rank Aiguablava more to the end. While its general standard lives up to that expected for Paradores - such as nice location, clean rooms, good food, friendly personnel etc, it does not quite meet expectations concerning certain details of the infrastructure, such as swimming pool and Internet in the rooms. Swimming pool: during our... More

The hotel is in a stunning location, on a cliff overlooking the sea on the Costa Brava. It is off the beaten path, about 90 minutes from Barcelona. The people were super-friendly, and if you want a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and a good book, this is the right place. Food in the restaurant was great --... More
