Great setting, food, and historical experience. Concord and the Colonial Inn are a winner. My girlfriend was exceptionally enthused at having stayed in a "haunted house". Definite repeat for the summer time!

Glad you enjoyed yourself! We agree, Room 24 is certainly special and beautiful. We look forward to having you again in the summer-- it's equally gorgeous and you can dine on the porch!! More

Lovely. Stayed at the Colonial Inn for 10 days in Feb.2015. Room 308 in the new Prescott wing. The room I had was perfect in every way. Freshly appointed, clean, quiet, good writing desk, reading chair, lots of light, new large TV. Food in the tavern was excellent, good friendly people, good music several nights. Staff was always friendly and... More

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! It was very descriptive and really helps travelers get a feel for the Inn. We are glad to know that you were comfortable in our Inn for that long, even being snowed "Inn" =) Your kind words about the staff mean a lot to us and we sincerely appreciate it;... More

I stayed there and lived to tell my tale. I actually stayed there twice. Once with my husband and once alone. I really taunted fate by watching a horror movie. If there is a ghost it's friendly. It's the best room in the inn with views of the town square. The breakfasts were lovely. The food is quite outstanding. Room... More

Thank you so much-- we agree that room 24 is a fun treat and good for you for watching the horror movie (I wouldn't have dared)! Look forward to you staying again and as always, let us know if we can make your next stay even more enjoyable! More

I recently had my bridal shower at this beautiful Inn. Every detail of the place is perfect. It was christmas time and every room I walked through was perfectly decorated, we even had carolers come in as we were having tea. I cannot recommend a more perfect place for a true New England experience.

If you are into tiny narrow low ceiling spaces, this spots for you. If you have family members or lovers 6"2" and over go elsewhere or bring a helmut. Vibe is cool and very old. Bar with music is awesome, if you don't mind it playing outside your bedroom as you drift off to sleep. Food and drink are good.... More

Thank you for your feedback. The Inn is not for everyone, but we are glad you enjoyed yourself! If the music isn't your thing, we do have rooms that are not near that so let us know in the future if you have a request for a room that won't be near the bar/music (which ends at 10:30pm in case... Came for a business meeting with overnight. Smallish group with a banquet style dinner. Food was fantastic for a group service. our wait staff was attentive and extremely courteous. Great beginning to the stay! Bar closes incredibly early, but that is to expected in a town where the only person who was ever awake after midnight was Paul Revere, and... More

We are glad to hear that your stay was nice and comfortable for the most part. I did mention your concern about vacuums first thing in the morning and the housekeeping manager will address that. As for the "young staffers," to be honest, I'm not sure how to respond. The majority of the hotel desk is *considerably* older than 17,... More

my husband and I received a gift card for an overnight and a dinner at the Inn. We had stayed once before in the "haunted" room, and looked forward to going back. We live only about 30 miles away, so we weren't your typical Concord tourist. the hotel looked great, all dressed up for the Christmas Holiday with an extensive... More

I am VERY glad that you enjoyed your time here with us and that you appreciate the historic Inn! You're right in pointing out the creeky floorboards, and it isn't for everyone. Thank you so much for your comments and we look forward to having you again! More

Staying at the Concord Colonial Inn is a good value if you do not want to spend the money to stay in Boston. Very old fashion and needs updating. We actually had to wait 10 minutes for the hot water to come down our hallway to take a shower and the front desk said this is normal due to the... More

Hello-- When did you stay with us? I ask because we have undergone many renovations that address both the updating comment and the hot water concern. It sounds like the stay was prior to this and I'm hoping you can confirm! Thank you for your feedback either way! More

I recently stayed at the Colonial Inn over the holidays for 6 nights. CONS: The Inn is authentic, very old, dated, and tired. Although parking is free, you are not guaranteed a parking spot in the back parking lot. Even though it is a historic Inn, there is no reason why clean carpets can't replace threadbare, worn, dirty carpets, and... More

Hello and thank you for your well-rounded review! First, I'll address your cons: 1) Regarding the blankets-- I'm happy to say that two days ago we received our order of new blankets for our guest rooms! We plan to replace most, if not all, of our bedspreads to match the fresh look of our new renovations! 2) The parking-- we... More

I stayed a couple of nights here whilst on business and I have to say it is a lovely place. A real treat after the usual American industrial hotels. The service is exceptional. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating to all needs. The only slight negative are the rooms in the Prescott wing which are right next to a busy... More

Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words. We are happy to know that you enjoy the "home away from home" feeling that we try to provide. As far as avoiding the Prescott Wing, a tip for the future for you (and others): It may be best for you to request a room that faces the back parking lot... More
