Everyone at the parador was friendly and very helpful in giving us advice as to what to see in the area. We also got a great room with a view of the castle that is lit at night. We walked across the bridge and up the steps to tour the castle. Excellent displays about life in the castle and also... More

Traditionally stopping off places for weary travellers, the Parador de Puebla Sanabria was the perfect stopping off place for us after a long and very boring day driving from the Santander area. The Parador is located just outside of the main town across the bridge, but still well within a short walking distance up to the main part of the... More

This parador at Puebla isn't an historic building but has some wonderful views of the old town and surrounding countryside. We wouldn't have chosen this parador but it featured on an organised itinerary. We were so glad to have stayed. Inside, the parador is fresh and spotless. The staff were all extremely friendly and our experience of the food in... More

It's not necessarily a historical building for which most paradores in Spain are famous for. But if you happen to get a room that faces the castle and the city centre it will be an unforgettable experiences. The place is clean and you can park for free at the open air parking lot. Closed garage is charged. But why would... More

I cannot praise the hotel the town or the location in any way, they are all first class and superb, but the food in the evening was appalling. It was cold, unappetising and the first course was badly cooked. To be fair the hotel reduced the bill, but it is still something of which visitors should be aware. I would... More

We came to the hotel by night, tired and thinking only about the shower and bed...the location of the place, the quality of the room and the hotel itself was the best award after a long trip. Modern, friendly place with amazing history and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

The Parador at Puebla de Sanabria is a modern facility that provides a comfortable stay. If you're driving, parking is conveniently right there, much of it under cover. The reception areas and common spaces are well appointed and suitable for groups that may be traveling or doing business together. Our room had everything we needed from a comfortable bed to... ... which is, refreshingly, a modern, cleanly designed and equipped hotel, without long humid corridors, creaking floors and omnipresent fake Spanish coffers on wheels. The beds are outstanding, the bathroom roomy, the only down side that it is impossible to sit normally on the loo, because some nincompoop mounted the spare roll holder in a most awkward position against the... I've seen a lot of reviews claiming this hotel is too modern to be a parador, but it doesn't claim to be an old historic building, and personally I would prefer honesty to faux antiquity. If you want historic take a short walk across the bridge and up the hill (or take the steps if you have the lungs), and... More

This recently built property is a departure from traditional paradors and I can understand it may thus not be to everyone's taste, however it certainly was to ours. Our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast excellent and the reasonably priced dinner (there's a dearth of decent places to eat in the village) good. That this place seems to be... More
