When you approach Siguenza the castillo stands out against the sky impressively. It is unexpected and awesome. Our room looked out to the countryside. We heard cows lowing in the meadows -a gentle and welcoming sound. The parador was one of the best we have stayed in. The surprise was the town. While we went to Santillana del Mar for... More

The usual stunning position, architecture, history... what I particularly liked was the attitude of the staff. They acted as if they were genuinely pleased to be there! One lad saw my elderly dad and I tottering around the courtyard, reading the notices, and he told us about the history of the place, urging me to visit the chapel, 'You will... More

As expected this was a very traditional Parador with good size rooms and spacious lounges. Set in a huge castle above the city, easy to walk in. Beware Mondays when a lot of places are closed. It was rather chilly weather when we stayed. Beautiful walking country around La Pelegrina just 7 km - take the road for Madrid. Unfortunately... More

I had pre-booked this Parador, and as such had plugged it into my state-of-the-art Lexus sat nav. Absolutely hopeless, I was coming from Santander, and once I left the main autovia, Lexus failed miserably, had to rely on my iPhone. The hassle was well worth it. What an imposing and impressive building. Reception was easy and quick. My room was... More

I am President of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club in Spain. We chose Parador Siguenza for "The Big One" a joint meeting between JEC Spain and JEC France. 73 Classic Jaguars and 151 people. We had two nights in this fabulous hotel, with a Gala Dinner on the first night. The service was good, the food fabulous and the hotel did... More

I think that this Parador is a must. A real huge castle full of history in a lovely place. Rooms are big, beds are confortable, breakfast is very good, served in a nice place. Siguenza has a lot to offer as a cultural spot, and besides, the countryside is beutiful. The parador offers a discovery tour everyday at 17h that... More

We arrived on the train and caught a 'local' taxi up to the parador for 10 euros. We realised we had been 'done' when we arrived at the parador in 5 minutes - not a good start. The castle looks amazing and we were excited to be staying there. We quickly realised that the castle is a reproduction of the... More

If you like castles do not miss this one. You must look at the before and after photos in the lobby. Absolutely amazing how ruined this place was at one time. The common rooms are outstanding. We had a delux room on a corner with a double bed. There are very few double rooms at this one. This hotel is... More
