Paradores are always a good choice and this one will not dissapoint. The castle is impressive and like always, service is perfect! Breakfast is soo good that it is worth paying it. If you have time take the guided tour !!

We arrived on the train and caught a 'local' taxi up to the parador for 10 euros. We realised we had been 'done' when we arrived at the parador in 5 minutes - not a good start. The castle looks amazing and we were excited to be staying there. We quickly realised that the castle is a reproduction of the... More

If you like castles do not miss this one. You must look at the before and after photos in the lobby. Absolutely amazing how ruined this place was at one time. The common rooms are outstanding. We had a delux room on a corner with a double bed. There are very few double rooms at this one. This hotel is... More

Siguenza is a small town with not much to do apart from visiting the Cathedral with its impressive sculpture of the "Doncel." But the parador by itself is worth coming to Siguenza. It is a former fortress with an impressive exterior. One can spend hours taking photos of the building from all angles. We had a beautiful room with a... More

A medieval castle, an alcabaza, located on the gentle hill overlooking the town of Siguenza. Simply put, its a great place. We had a room with a window that looked down on the town. Comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom. Other rooms look out into the hills. Efficient staff. There are steps to enter the hotel as well as a... More

As other reviewers have noted, it is past its prime and could do with a refurbishment. It is well run, the staff are friendly and efficient and the castle is magnificent. The rooms are clean and spacious, but it is getting a bit frayed around the edges. As others have also noted, the restaurant is average at best. There was... More

A beautifully restored castle with a comfortable room, good facilities, and regional cooking. Cobbles, steps, long corridors; yes, it's a big castle. Reception was friendly and courteous and spoke good English. The breakfast was excellent, evening meal good (a la carte), waitresses pleasant even the older one with the sad face. They were patient with my attempts at Spanish, which... More

Other recent reviews have been pretty critical of this parador, but we'd like to refute them - we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this location. But here's why - yes, there is a cobblestone square at the entrance to the castle and a set of steps into the main 'keep'. But this is a castle for goodness... More
