Overall this was a decent place to camp. We had site 31 in the tent only loop. It had afternoon shade and a food storage box. However, we were lucky to get that one. Most of the tent only spots are tiny and right on top of each other with no shade at all. The free, open 24 hrs a... More

We stayed in this campground in July, and it was fine. There were a lot of campsites that looked pretty on top of each other, but we were lucky to stumble onto a beautiful, private site. We could barely see other tents. The picnic table was in full sun, but we tied a tarp over it and then it was... More

We got here early off season so had a decent pick of sites. We managed to get a private one surrounded by bushes so we were pretty sheltered. Bathrooms were clean and there was even wifi and a decent shop. There were also showers which were alright powerful and hot and spacious. There are some walks that start from the... More

Morefield Campground is the only campground within the park boundaries of Mesa Verde National Park. Taken over by private company Aramark, the group hasn't done much to improve the sprawling campground 5 mi within the NP on the main road to archaelogical sites.. Although pricey by comparison to standard camping fees, the sites do not seem to be maintained or... More

This was our last stop on a Colorado road trip and it was definitely not the highlight of our adventure. Around $16 to enter the park and then $28 for a basic tent site!!! That is more than the Rocky Mountain park charged!! We wanted a tent only area and there were many options, I recommend the Zuni loop, we... More

Tent camping separate from RV. Private, most sites close to the flush toilets, it was a bit pricey but closer than a hotel to cliff dwellings. We found a shady site, but really were only at the tent after a long day and nights are cooler. Picnic table and fire ring. Close to the camp store. I would recommend.

Great campground even if the majority of the spots have no hook ups. Very small number of elec./water spaces are available. Good restroom facilities on all campground loops. WiFi is excellent everywhere in the campground and FREE! Laundry, gasoline, camp store and RV dumps are available.

We rode around Hopi Lane trying to find a spot with shade, non existent. We settled upon site 321. Nice spot, just nom shade. Our picnic table was mostly in the shade, which is important when the temps are in the 90's and you have no services! At least the temps at night were cool, in the mid 50's. The... More

I don't mind the $28 a night. There are abundant clean restrooms, a general store with cold drinks, showers (we didn't use them - I didn't want to find out if all the other reviews about cold water were true) and nice picnic tables at each site. We would stay again.

For $28/ night for an unserviced site it was the worst value on our 3 week trip through the area.. The only positive was the wifi as long as you are in a site beside the washroom. The sites are not level and the gravel has all but disappeared taken over by mud and overgrown weeds. It is a good... More
