We stayed in a standard two queen bed room in what appeared to be a recently renovated room. It is great! Hard wood floors, new granite counters, nice, CLEAN rustic appeal. Bathroom is small but very effective. Wonderful patio overlooking the scenery outside the 7000 ft. Mesa. Beautiful stars and very quiet. The outdoor restaurant patio also had great food... More

Far View Lodge is the only hotel in Mesa Verde Park, the advantage to staying here is the proximity to the attractions inside the park, in fact the hotel is closer than the campsites. It is not the most modern hotel, but our room was clean, our A/C worked - which may not really have been necessary (we stayed in... More

We were given what meant to be an updated room, while it did have great views the room was small and dirty, beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom/toilet was tiny. I understand this property is remote and in a National Park but I'm not even sure the linen was clean..

If you don't have much time to view Mesa Verde...STAY IN THE PARK! Far View Lodge was a ten minute drive from the cliff dwellings and the museum. The views of the park are amazing...and staying at a lodge with an elevation of 8200 ft is an awesome experience for a 'flat lander' like me. The front desk staff was... More

Made reservation a month ago for a remodeled room with a view. When checking in, I reminded the attendant of my request. The room had an excellent view to the South but I doubt based on the the condition that it was remodeled. The floor adjacent to the shower had a bounce and the shower door defied a >200# person... That this run-down "motel" represents an establishment at one of our great national parks is embarrassing. Mesa Verde NP is a jewel...this hotel should be closed, and torn down or totally renovated. The rooms are poorly appointed, the rates established at reservation are jacked up at check in, and at the least the whole place needs 30,000 gallons of Sherwin... More

While not a 4-star accommodation, the rooms are very comfortable with small porches to enjoy the views. The restaurants/bar offer very tasty food and drink served by very friendly, knowledgeable people. The place is very close to all you'd want to see in the park (take in Park Point for sunrise or sunset). One advisory: get Tour tickets at the... More

The room we stayed in was nothing fancy, but the value for our room was fantastic! We love it when we can spend the night in National Parks & normally we would have camped, but we're only spending 1 night. The view from our balcony & from the restaurant were breathtaking! It was awesome to be in the middle if... More

We originally reserved a room with airconditioning thinking we would need it. Those rooms however do not have a view, so we changed to the first row over looking the Mesa. The bar and food was excellent. After a few drinks came back to the room and turned off all of the lights and saw mule deer and some other... More

We had the kiva room which was nice, however the toilet and shower was very cramped, other than that no complaints. The view was amazing and ours weren't the best located but couldn't knock it. Mesa Verde itself was breathtaking and the food within the hotel was one of the best dinners I've ever had from a restaurant, brilliant service.... More
