Far view lodge is not a 4 star hotel, BUT. What it lacks in hotel upgrades it covers in service and restaurant quality. 1. If you want breakfast pay in advance or at time of. 2. Restaurant at registration area unbelievably GREAT. Presentation and taste great. Wine selection great. 3. Rooms. No TV, which was great. All have great views.... More

We were expecting basic and were very pleasantly surprised at this clean and well run property. It's older but the rooms are very comfortable and quiet, and you can't beat the location. Tours leave from here in the early morning, and it would be a long drive from the nearest towns. Staff are very friendly and efficient.

Family stayed at the Far View Lodge for one night. The room was ok, nice view. The location cannot be beat since the drive out to the actual attractions runs over 45 mins from the entrance, with a few cool overlooks/stops on the way. So if you are staying more than a few hours, a good idea would be to... More

We just stayed at this hotel, and it was a wonderful experience The hotel is centrally located to allow easy access to all the incredible archeological and natural sites this national park offers. The room had recently been renovated and included new mattresses on the beds, new Pergo flooring, and a bathroom upgrade. The view from the private balcony and... More

First, don't believe everything you read from reviewers! Having just traveled through 7 National Parks on this trip alone, I can say this is a delightful place with an outstanding staff! The rooms were clean, everything was in good order with more amenities than you would expect inside a National Park. We had a wonderful view, lovely warm comforters and... More

Mesa Verde National Park is a fascinating and beautiful place. The road into the park, though, is twisty and narrow and takes a long time ... so there is a big advantage to staying inside the park. This is the only hotel in the park. We found the rooms to be adequate, and convenient. The hotel restaurant and lounge has... More

We expected to have a great view but were looking at Some bushes in front of our window! Rooms are very poor although we staided in the Kiva room which is to be the most luxurious room of this lodge! Rooms are very noisy! Restaurant for diner is good! For breakfast you have to go to another building . Breakfast... More

The name of the hotel is very promising, and so is the actual view from the balcony : fabulous ! The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an excellent restaurant, and a nice bar. The website is perfect, and actually nothing stated on the website is untrue. However.... the truth is not exactly describribed on the website. The... More

I just want to put some other reviews into the right context: the standard rooms are simple, maybe even basic. But I knew that when I booked them. And they have been clean, everything worked fine … so I don’t see any reason to complain about that. If you are there, don’t miss a dinner at the Metate Room Restaurant.... More

It's the only lodging inside the park and the staff acts that way (non-existent customer service). I was incorrectly charged for a tour I didn't order when I reserved our room 5 months earlier and the clerk at check-in said she would remove this charge. She didn't, as I saw at check out. I asked that clerk to remove it.... More
