I've stayed at many lodges at national parks. They definitely can vary in quality, and I'm honestly usually willing to give them a pass because of location. I cannot do so here. The reception area/restaurant is a nicely remodeled building, and the staff at check-in was friendly. The room was a "standard" room, and I would not voluntarily stay in... More

Our room had someone else's clothes lying around. Also, the cleaning people threw out some of our clothes and the staff refused to refund us the money spent on the brand new clothes. I would rather camp than go there again.

These buildings should be torn down and rebuilt. The location was absolutely beautiful, and I saved so much time by staying here instead of the next closest hotel. The rooms are clean but in disrepair. And hot hot hot in July. The walls are pretty thin, the family renting the room next to me showed up late at night and... More

There isn't anywhere else to stay in Mesa Verde. But still no excuse. Missing lightbulb in light fixture, broken bathroom door lock, door to unit very hard to close , missing soap dispenser in shower, shower did not drain. Overall poorly maintained. Over worked front desk and restaurant staff. The best part of our visit was the "700 years "... More

Wonderful location and the reception area/restaurant / bar areas are really nice. Unfortunately the rooms are definitely showing their age and the initial low quality construction. I was awakened at 5:30am by the neighbors shower. I'm not a light sleeper. In addition, most of the exterior lights were out making it both unsafe and difficult to unlock the door after... More

We decided to do a 2 week tour of the National Parks in Utah and surrounding states. Mesa Verde was not originally in the plan, but I had visited many years ago and was telling my 13 year old son about it and he asked if we could add it to our agenda so we did. We decided to stay... More

The Far View Lodge was much better than I was expecting. The room was very nice with a private balcony where we enjoyed the sunset. Keep in mind there is no television but there was Internet access. It was so nice to be able to stay in the park.

This is one of my favorite places that I've stayed. It was quiet and clean and the decor and furnishings added a lot to our enjoyment. The view from our private deck was beautiful and an ideal place for an evening drink or morning coffee.

We arrived late in the afternoon and were greeted warmly. We were too late to join in the guided tours, but were given good info to go out on our own, which worked out great. The Hotel and restaurant were excellent. Sure this facility is a little dated, but still very good beds, clean and you can't beat the location.... More

This lodge has the perfect location if you plan on visiting Mesa Verde, but that's where the positives end. The rooms have been remodeled, but poorly. Its like slapping lipstick on a pig. The bathroom is cramped and you will not have room to move around. The bathroom took me back to my college dorm shower, but sadly my dorm... More
