Far View Lodge is the only place to stay in Mesa Verde National Park. We would not have wanted to drive out of the park after a day of activities in the park. It is a 35 minute drive from Far View to the exit and then you would have to travel further to go to another hotel. You might... More

If you're staying overnight and want to maximize your time in Mesa Verde, this is the way to go. The hotel is deep inside the park - and past the miles of snaking across the edge of the hills to get to the heart of the action. I spent the afternoon of the first day exploring and then did a... A nice clean room located within the park and only a short drive from the cliff dwellings. By staying here you save yourself at least a 1/2 hour drive to the other nearest lodging. Good food in easy walking distance and it was very nice to be able to come refresh and rest between hikes and tours. Private balcony had... More

What a terrible disappointment at a wonderful treasure of national park. A two star experience for the price of a three star. Had to upgrade for a bathtub and air conditioning. There was no phone in our room which would seem mandatory as there is no cellular service. Save your money and stay in Durango 30 miles away to visit... More

Far View Lodge is the only place to stay in the park.. Great views. Mediocre rooms. A little pricey. It was Nice to stay in the park. Long ride up and down mountain if you don't. Great bar with outside patio.

Looking at other reviews I would have to say that our room was air conditioned and there were pictures on the walls. The balcony with a table and chairs was nice for breakfast, we put our own food in the fridge and made our own breakfast and lunch. The food in the restaurant on site was ok but expensive, but... We were unaware of this hotel until we were in the park, and forthwith cancelled our reservation in Cortez. It is hands-down the best place to stay (the only one aside from camping) in the park or the locality. You eliminate the drive to and from Cortez, and the long drive up into the park. The rooms are small. we... More

This is like a huge motel with several terraces of rooms. They have balconies and superb views. Room plain, no art work which is a shame bearing in mind the fantastic Indian works available. Not even a pad of paper and pen. Has fridge. Shower is on a timer. It's main advantage is hat it is he national park and... More

Much better to stay within park as it cuts down on driving from Cortez. Our queen room had a balcony and a lovely view. the room and bathroom are small but we felt it good value for what we paid. ask for a room with a good view as some of the accommodation is set further back and only has... More

Man the rooms were way beyond what we had hoped for when we booked them on line. Everyone that we met while at Mesa Verde were very nice and helped us any way that they could, the breakfast that we had was also very good. Everything at the park was way better than what we had hoped for. This is... More
