Stay at this lodge! The prices are reasonable, it's not an overcrowded park, and it's magnificent. Have a snack in the lounge and enjoy that view! Go on a guided tour of the Pueblo dwellings. It is worth every penny to stay inside the park!

If you're planning to visit Mesa Verde and looking for a great place to stay, Far View Lodge is perfect. It's not 5-Stars by any means, but the rooms are comfortable, affordable and offer amazing views of the park. Staff was incredibly courteous and staying at the lodge made our park visit much better and convenient. Our one-night stay quickly... More

Definitely a mixed bag here, BUT - the drive into MVNP is downright scary. So I would definitely not want to make that trip more than necessary, and its quite a drive to town from the sites. So location definitely makes it worth it. Room was VERY small, beds were only OK, bathroom was tiny. We had a Kiva room... More

I always associate parks with camping, so I was likely to like any room. The price would be high for any other hotels. Rooms are smallish with few extra amenities - no pool, TV, and WIFi that never worked. But, the location saves a ton of time and the views are great, even in bad rooms. There are several eating... We opted for a 2 queen bed Kiva room, apparently an upgrade from the regular rooms, though I don't know what that entails. The rooms are clustered in small groups of 3-6 per unit, scattered on the mesa top. Reception is centrally located and includes a 5 star restaurant (dress is casual), a lounge, and gift shop. Another gift shop... More

While certain features like a tiny bathroom and hard double beds for a family of 3 would normally give a property like this a 3 in my estimation, the fact that it is a lodge in the middle of a gorgeous national park and all the personnel are fantastically friendly and we saw deer, a jack rabbit, bluebirds, wild horses... Location is great. Views great. Staff friendly. Rooms not very clean or nice. Needs serious updating. This makes Hampton inns etc look 4 star. The Internet was spotty and their is no tv in case you want that. The good restaurant on premise not the cafeteria style one down the road was very good. Great views and very good food.... More

Surprisingly nice for a park lodge. Nothing fancy but comfortable, quiet and clean. Beautiful views from the balcony. Really inexpensive. Bathroom was very small but hey, you're in a National Park lodge- you can't expect the Four Seasons! Definitely opt for a Kiva Room- it's just a little bit more money-wise but you get air conditioning. Wonderful dinner at the... More

This is my second stay at Farview Lodge and each time has been incredible. The room is very nice, clean and comfortable and the staff we encountered were all very friendly and engaging. Of course the view and attractions at Mesa Verde are the very least are awe inspiring. All things considered each of my stays at Farview Lodge have... More

Yes, I'd read all the (mixed) reviews but decided like many others that location is king, so booked the Far View Lodge. The welcome was warm and the room had a wonderful view, so I was initially impressed. However that soon changed as soon as our neighbours returned from their day out. They were not noisy neighbours by any means,... More
