The hotel is good, a little tired but warm and welcoming. Our family room for 3 of us wasn't great for the third person but perfectly fine for 1 night. The owners were very welcoming but the thing that makes this place is the breakfast. Incredible selection of local foods with fresh fruits and homemade jams. Everything was explained too.... More

Rosario was extremely charming and helpful and a great host at breakfast. The breakfast was great. Where else can you get crepes and quince jam along with the usual bacon, eggs, pastry, etc? This little hotel with 200 year-old stone walls is located 20 yards off the main cobblestoned street where you can stop your car to unload baggage before... More

I stayed 3 nights here and loved the place. The cost, at under €60, is very reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful, pointing out ot me places to visit and excellent restaurants. They also found a local woman to do some laundry for me. The room is nicely set up with comfortable chairs to sit on. There's a working... More

We stayed one night in this charming small hotel. There being no parking in Cudillero centre (you'll see why) we parked by the harbour and walked the 5-10 minutes back in. If you're lucky and prepared you might be able to pull in in front of the church/ayuntamiento and dump your bags & co-pilot before heading off to the port.... More

I stayed here for a night on my way to Santiago on foot. My room was clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the town, my hosts were friendly in that slightly-detached yet competent way that I associate with major tourist centres, breakfast was more than adequate and there are loads of places to eat within spitting distance.

Firstly I'd like to point out that the photograph on TA of La Casona del Pio is incorrect - this is not the right buidling. You're best off looking for the signs to the hotel as the building itself is a beautiful stone fronted building but it cannot be seen from the roadside. As previous posters have stated you need... We booked this hotel having seen the reviews on TA. The hotel was exactly as described (don't use this hotel if you have very large suitcases, due to the steep steps up to the front door!). Our room was adequate in size, but the noise transference from other rooms was quite intrusive. People in the room above us wheeling their... More

Booked for two nights and had to stay for a third! Very comfortable hotel with great rooms. Hotel staff are charming and full of helpful advice about restaurants and things to do. Fantastic location makes it even better. Surrounded by restaurants and 1 minute to the harbour's edge. If you want to sightsee there are beaches galore and a spectacular... More

We spent 3 nights at La Casona del Pio in Cudillero. The balcony room was fantastic to look out over the houses on the hill and hear the sea gulls. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the room was an adequate size. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The home cooked breakfast was very good. However, it was the... More

We stayed in Casona del Pio for 2 night at the end of April 2013. Unfortunately the weather during our stay was absolutely terrible - cold and heavy rain. However, the Casona del Pio was warm, comfortable and very welcoming. The reception staff were so kind and helpful, and Rosario, the owner and her husband were incredibly kind and accommodating....
